I found this great interview about a Spaniard rider who won the Japan Motocross Championship. He gave some good detailes about the series!

Brian Hsu will be doing the entire All Japan Championship as well. I hope he can stick it out and complete every round. Kid has talent for days but has yet to show any longevity in sticking with major series.
He’s going to miss the opening round.
Is the schedule posted anywhere? I'm gonna be in Japan for the first half of June, and was thinking about attending a round.
I have really have no desire to travel to anywhere, other than Japan. Such an intriguing country, enjoy your trip.

Japan is cool as shit, I would recommend going!
Is he riding a 250, or is he going to try to give Jay Wilson a go on the 450?

I think Brian Hsu will be racing 250
Should be an interesting season in the 450 class with Yuki Okura in his third year with HRC being joined by new team mate Haruki Yokoyama who has been racing MX2 in Australia. The general consensus is that Victor Alonso & Jay Wilson are the favorites to win but all these guys are badass.
Round 1 is this weekend.

Are you going to any rounds this year? Depending in work, I may try to hit Saitama in September.
I'll be there all day Sunday!
The SUGO GP is normally best round depending on how the championship points go and who the guest riders are.
Perhaps Joeくん might come race again - he will pull a Japanese crowd! But honestly, that's probably a long shot since the SMX season now exists? My guess is the biggest likelihood of seeing Shimoda ride in Japan this year will be Honda Thanks Day. Hope I'm wrong.
How old is Brian Hsu now? Seems like I was reading about him being the next big thing in GPs 8-10 years ago, or is my CRS that bad?
Yeah I agree Jo is a long shot for a race. SMX takes up too much time. After he decimated everyone at Meihan, that kinda eliminated any suspense anyway.
I'm hoping Oshiro steps it up this year in IA1 on his new Yamaha ride.
He must be in his mid 20’s now. He was the next big thing but I believe in 2016 he burnt his bridges with Suzuki. These days he can’t keep a ride for a season. Also heard he was a bit lazy when it came to training.
