Good day fellow riders.

We are currently experiencing bike trouble. Bike starts 1 kick in cold start. When bike gets hot for about 4 laps, the bike stalls and dies even when given gas. And it's very hard to start again, when it does it often stalls and dies again. Need advice and thank you in advance. Godspeed to all of us riders in tracks and trails.

Check valve clearance obviously, but I've heard of a few having to replace the stator and flywheel...

thank you. thats what I was thinking too. however. after it stalls and try to kick start, the compression is still there. Isn't it that if the valve clearance is too small there will little or less resistance when you kick it?

That sounds like a stator to me.

Might as well start with easier stuff though. Pull, inspect and change the plug if necessary, examine the coil real well, check valve clearance etc. If you have access to a similar bike that’s running good try swapping the tank, rectifier, etc.

Checking the basics like compression and fuel pump pressure while it's messing up is always better than guessing.  But I know of several stator AND flywheel problems...

Check the connector from the loom on the frame to the fuel pump, they corrode all the time
