Van de Moosdijk and Team HRC part ways.

Bonacorsi will switch from MX2 to MXGP to fill in for Renaux/Geerts.

Wow ,he is the Evan Ferry of MXGP.

Seriously though, its sad to see a rider obviously in trouble trying to keep going .

Bonacorsi is a shock, he has been hit and miss in MX2, i guess they dont want the bike sitting idle, or have contratual obligations.

Who do HRC pull in now?

A part of the Triumph team is almost like a "family" for Febvre...

That 2025 deal is kind of logical.

GP Pit Bits from Trentino suggests Seewer will also leave Kawasaki after this season, any rumours on where he ends up?

Just my opinion but if I was HRC I would just look at someone who is steady and will actually be able to race the whole series. Someone like Ben Watson would be ideal if he wasn’t on beta, he’s consistent and who knows on factory could even be top 8. That would be the type of rider I would look at

HRC should give Ty Masterpool a call, or Yamaha MX2 (I don't know if he's younger than 23 years old) kid can rip in a motocross track, and I'm sure both the Team and the FIM would be happy to have an American in the MXGP class

Imo best rider available for HRC would be Max Nagl. Allready on a Honda and he was easily beating guys who had top 10-11-12-13 finishes in MXGP this season (Koch, Toendel, Spiess, Haavisto) this weekend.

But that actually requires HRC to spend money on a decent salary on a fill in rider so i guess it wont happen.

I watched  bit of the ADAC this weekend.

For a near on 37 year old (or is it 38?) he certainly still has 'It'.

I hadn't thought of Max as an alternate, up until your mention of him - I think it would be a good thing, but, it sure is an unlikely thing for Honda to try.

He' d be a great back up teammate for Tiga, and relieve him of the full burden of bike testing and development, while, I think, being well capable of top 10s or higher.

Seewer leaving after 1 year?  Was it only a 1 year deal or will they mutually part ways?  He had not looked good on that bike until Trentino.  In the earlier rounds that thing just looked like a pogo stick to me, he was bouncing around everywhere.

And Roan lasted what, like 2 rounds on the Honda, crazy.  Was he on a week to week contract, lol?

Nagl already said a few times that his body cant deal anymore with the intensity of the MXGP championship...

Going off what it said in GP Bits Febvre and Seewer both have contracts that conclude in 2024. Not seen any speculation as to where JS ends up though

Kawasaki is withdrawing from World Superbike. Anyone any info about if, and I repeat IF they are going to cut costs on mx racing too?

Conrad Mewse should be an option, but he will have all sorts of contractual stuff in the UK that will make it hard.

I thought Nagl too, especially with Teuschenthal coming up, but he is old.

Brent Van Doninck would have been decent, but obviously he is out , with Tim Edberg doing a decent job for a new guy on a 450.

LVB , would be nice to see him get a chance, is there a French rider that could step up.

Harri Kullas was going to race AMA outdoors but havent confirmed any team yet. He could do well also.

I dont think there are many riders available who can get top 10 results. If you cant get top 10 imo hrc is better of not putting soneome on the bike and spend the money on other stuff

Ah ok i am not aware if that. A shame. His speed is still pretty good.

No MXGP factory team is gonna touch Mewse.

Call Henry Jacobi. I’m sure he can get out of his team pretty easy.

Why would HRC put van berkel on the bike? No offense to him, but he’s gonna be rolling around in what 18-26?

Most likely HRC isn’t gonna get a new fill in guy after this debacle. They did it before on both sides off the pond ride the majority off the season with 1 guy.

HRC is well know for not paying allot of money to the fill in guys, remember Tixier his story as he passed on it. So guys with own deals would not be that motivated on it as HRC is not motivated to field a bike for a 10th to 20th place guys wich also makes sense.

Moosdijk was a shot worth as he is young and could progress allot, but a messed up knee ended things early.

The only thing that would make sense for Honda to do is move up Guillod or Horgmo to their HRC line up and get a deal with their SR Motobleuz team.

Why didn’t pull Yamaha Gifting up to their Factory squad? He has been impressed on that JK Yamaha.

Bonacorsi could potentially be a better 450 guy then 250, but he just break out at Arco. Would be a bummer for the kid if this isn’t really working out and he is in between rides at the end off the season…

Yeah and to be honest the "he is a better 450 rider" might be true, but how likely is it that he would be a regular top 10 guy this season?

Imo Yamaha wins more this season by having Bonacorsi get some podium results in mx2 then having him get an 8th place finish at 2 gps.

Bonacorsi to 450 isn't done yet. There are talks but no agreement to this point. There should be news tomorrow.

It's done now, but was not yesterday. They had things to sort out, which apparently they did.

I guess because Gifting has a contract with the team. If they were to pull him, JK then have to find a rider (although someone like Kullas would be a good fit).

Maybe Isak prefers being on a B team. There would be a lot of pressure if he stepped up to the factory bike that maybe he doesn't want.

If you see yesterdays performance of Mewse he should be a good fit on the HRC Honda.

I know, one good result doesn't mean he will be top 5 material but I could see him getting some top 10 results...

Looking at social media it looks like Mewse had a good day but did look like herlings had some bike issues in race 1. Do I think Mewse could be a top 10 guy in mxgp? - yeah, but unfortunately never seems to make it happen on the main stage
