Get rid of:
The useless 90s. How many passes made where Eli crashed.
The slick flat turns after whoops. If you got a good run out outside you were hung out to dry.
9 whoops where you cant blitz past someone. You cant get any speed because you have to turn on a concrete turn.
The stupid on/of before the triple. I mean put a face on first jump on outside where you can quad if you want.
This is pathetic, I've seen more exciting whoops and rhythms in local arenacross races. If someone saw that race on at a local sports bar theyd fall asleep. Its not difficult to design different tracks; which only means Feld must be telling Dirt Wurx it has to follow this criteria.
The tracks this year have sucked. Tired of watching everyone do the same damn thing and jumping whoops not being slower. 9 whoops also sucks.
Snoozer of a track, only action was when someone tucked the front
since we have the pitch forks out, bring back the over unders damit!
Terrible. Why so many flat corners after a set of whoops?
The Shop
The flat turn after the woops is called the 1st turn so please do tell how do you propose that they change that?
Either feld or dirt wurks need to do something asap for the next season because this is starting to be more of a theatrical display rather than motorcycle racing, you get to see the same thing every weekend no matter the stadium or dirt and at least for me it's getting pretty boring
I wish someone would come out and just say yeah we're skimping on dirt and don't want the expense of giving the guys enough to build the track the way they would if they had the dirt they'd like to have. Flat turn after whoops makes them pretty pointless.
I get that you can't argue a ton with the safety aspect, but I don't know how you design tracks without multiple lines and passing opportunities being a priority. You cannot argue that the people designing these tracks are considering this.
cause to much action...RC can't follow in the whole race
I'm not sure why they're stuck on having to come up with new track designs every year. Who cares if past layouts get re-used every so often if they race well! Not saying to have the same layout a couple times a year, but bring a layout back from '09 or '21, hell even '99. Lots of the layouts end up being a huge swing and miss.
Exactly. We've been doing this for how long now? 4 strokes been around for longer than most of the current riders. Just go back and see which tracks raced well and build them. Outdoors tracks barely change year to year, nobody cares!
We're just being lied to about why the tracks suck now. I'm convinced they're just cheaper to build and the decision makers don't think the masses notice or care enough, no matter how angry the small minority of hard-core fans on message boards get.
The problem is the box they have to build in. So many restrictions by Feld, even more than what has been talked about on pulp. Dirt Wurx guys will build something then get told by Feld to modify it. Now they are taking away obstacles, no dragons, no loader whoops, etc. Then you have fans and teams talking about obstacles as if they are being built wrong. Prime example, Forkners crash. He tried jumping over that table on the outside, that was intentionally built with a lip on the right side of the table for a different rhythm compared to the guys jumping over the table on the inside. Outrage over that, I’m not saying the track guys are perfect obviously they screw stuff up from time to time, much like top guys tip over in turns. Shit happens.
Buckle up for another one. Utah always has one of the worst, smallest and driest tracks every year. The original layouts for Utah had them exit the stadium like they did in Vegas but like another poster mentioned, they really DO NOT want to pay for more dirt so we get stuck with ruts down to the plywood in qualifying and a tamed track. That is the biggest problem in my opinion.
Don’t do it
i can’t imagine feld legitimately cares about adding restrictions for rider safety after they just had a playoff round at v max drag way that was in between fucking concrete barricades. this season of SX has been terrible in almost every aspect.

Good commentary from Josh.
Raise ticket prices and lower the cost of holding the event. I guess we should be considered stupid if we didn't expect what's happening all around the world to happen to our sport as well. That video is very telling.
Definitely not much action all night. My girl watched the races for the first time, and I was acutely aware that it wasn’t very entertaining lol
While you’re completely correct, I’d say you’ve been downvoted because you change that by not designing the track with the whoops in that lane to begin with.
I’m not sure why basic track building logic seems to be such a problem this year, but it is and it can’t be changed fast enough.
Pit Row
I’ve never seen so many adults needing a Kleenex. Poor little babies.
Track designers hands are tied with the ever growing list of restrictions put on the track.
It would be awesome to see what they could build with more dirt.
They need to do a whole replica year of the early 2000s.
I heard that they don’t use it because it cost too much to ship the structure to each event.
I think it’s pretty simple that Feld is the problem with the sport. It’s been past time for an actual organization to take Supercross over that will run it like a sport verses a circus attraction.
It will never happen
well, there it is
I thought there seemed to be a lack of "pop" this year in some of the rhythms and triples. Flatten out the lips and you'll have this.
The dirt was “different”…hard pack-like base that seemed very outdoors to us western riders. It also seemed like some new kind of “dust free pre-dried stadium dirt”.
Now, I’m gonna reach down and grab my stick to continue beating the same dead horse…
Having ONLY 9 WHOOPS SUCKS!
Period.
Minimum 12 whoops with an average of 14-15 would be proper.
I’m jus’ sayin’…

Bring back stepping on/off the over unders
This was the first time I didn’t watch the whole broadcast. I have a couple projects going on at home and I just continued doing them with the race on the TV so I could see it as I was staying busy. The Wife asked “how come you aren’t watching” I said what’s the point the track is boring, they won’t catch any action as it is happening so i’ll watch the weege show and highlights later.
2 expensive. That requires a full semi setup to get it to the tracks. I believe thats what pulp mentioned this past week
You're a dumbass.
The track was terrible, I was thinking arenacross type track
By doing what? Putting them closer together so they fit in the same amount of space?
There is only so much length available in a stadium to build them. In the beginning didn’t they make a long packed box shape of dirt then used a backhoe to cut out the woops? U U U U U U or V V V V V V shape
The angle and height of the woops used to be different from race to race so technique had to change.
IMO Adding more woops is a guaranteed way to injure more riders. Crashing in woops = more injury’s. They start loosing momentum and wad up.
