if ryder d didnt have the dnf in san francisco and he scored his regular 8th place  he would be 5th in points ..and not 12th

This season is turning out way more complex and intriguing than I thought before hand. Long may it continue and may the East Coast 2-fiddies throw grenades as well.

Total highlight of the weekend was Cole Davies. That race was nuts. Congratulations  to Coppins and Townley for the guidance to get this far, and to Blair and Hahn for keeping it going. Colin done good.

You guys are already good sports psychologists…you ask a question, think of the possibilities like what’s been going on with Rockstar so far and then you may give some good news like the flat tire doesn’t mean there’s necessarily a black cloud over them that they may have thought at the beginning of the season like not passing was good news or that it’s not a self-fulfilling prophecy and their results are improving but can go up and down with interesting stats comparing riders/teams, or that a bike switch has different characteristics like Honda to KTM or Blue to Green based on parts/feel/ergonomics/rider style of riding.  

You find some ideas that just don’t belong worth noting to rule things out or give us some medical ideas of why a rider might be on his game or not as to not blame the user when fans are quick to turn on them or think it’s about them not giving enough effort.  You may get the riders thinking how they can improve different parts of their game with challenging questions instead of just the boring “how was your weekend” that doesn’t let their personality show.  

You have tested some bikes and give feedback they can use in R+D the rider or team may have overlooked.  The pit bits show tricks that may work or not to advance the technology.  You know tracks that favor certain rider styles or their previous success confidence breeds confidence.  You know where people are at in their career and don’t have too high or low expectations showing us and them possibilities of opportunities. I can’t believe how much goes into each week or rider/team with so many stories.

If Jett gets the start in Detroit then what?  Is it back to autopilot?  Has Jett been booed before?

I am a little concerned about the whole danger boy persona if he’s coming back too soon to stay looking like he can toughen anything out with this not being the best injury for that but i am sure his camp has got it covered.  I had no idea bubba got injured or Webb thanks.  If Jett is showing too much weakness and emotion I don’t know if Deegan toughening out a potentially bad injury is the opposite though.  The fans were certainly happy to see Anderson bounce back and ride well.  That was a good post show except for the one detail i didn’t see which is why Anderson got docked points for some kind of track issue.

These riders who get 100+ podiums earn their money and same goes for Jett if he wins he earned the right to buy whatever he wants.  Kenny had an Audi he showed up at A1 one year in a GQ suit but some held it against him.  Supposedly to elevate the sport it should look US Open good or F1 to bring in more sponsors and support so the brewing Deegan/Jett thing might be good a few years away.  Lots of good riders still with plenty left in the tank.

I took a sports psych class and I say Jett has plenty of support to have a certain attitude to maintain his composure with his family kind of easy going and like Anderson said RC got booed.  It’s the guys who hate losing the most that may bounce back even more refined and motivated.  It takes a certain brain to find a way to win and Jett is already working on it with his head down at the end of the race if he can brush it off in his own way like other racers do.  It might look showing vulnerable or aggressive but like they say the cream rises to the top…just not without a fight in this sport this year.  I agree a lot of the 250 boys could surprise just like to 450.  Thanks guys for the info.
