I took a 98 CR 250 and added 2013 CRF shrouds and front fender.
Use the original 98 side panels and rear fender
Only had to make one bracket to mount shrouds
Front top hole lined up
Raditor hole lined up
Back bottom hole at side panel lines up
Self tapped to frame hole behind radiator
The second hole back from top at fuel tank
had to make a flat bracket approx 2-1/2" and bolted it down with a nut
I tried the 07 shrouds but the 13's actually fit much better.
The 13 Front fender requires a small amount of trimming to allow plate to drop behind and you can run the stock 98 front number plate.
Makes the bike look pretty awesome for a little bit of money.
I ran 2013 graphics and 98 number plate decals
Total cost of plastics $40 off eBay

the rear end still looks a little fat compared to the new front end. Have you looked into the 2007-2009 era plastics? Might be able to fit better than the newest ones but still look good

They are great looking bikes. my 98 was a rocket ship and after some suspension mods handled great too.

Nice job. I also thought they were and remain great looking bikes stock . I had a 98 but at the time I was riding mostly rolling hills and fields , sort of scrambles type riding so I really didn't notice any of the bad traits many people say this bike had. I've been thinking about picking another one up actually.

Like I said it was only 40 bucks off e bay for plastics and it needed them anyhow.
I think it looks better than the kayak paddles that were on there

Looks a lot better for sure! I'm amazed that the new shrouds would fit so well!

The neighbor boy and his 97 CR 250 we recently installed 2013 crf 250 shrouds and 07 front fender.
Here's what it looks like simple up grade. We now use the old shrouds for kayak paddles lol.
Looks amazing. Picked these up for 25$ off eBay what a difference. Before & after
