Not sure if this was mentioned last week, but HoneyLake's under new ownership. I've run some Cross Country and MX events there and it's always been fun. It's in Milford, CA.

This track looks really cool. Sometimes you will have a track with awesome looking terrain surrounding it with the track itself on a flat piece of land! This place looks like it uses the elevation very well:

Larry Wosick and crew did an admirable job creating this wonder. Unreal elevations and great layout...the "bitch" is back!!

I have so many memories from Honeylake. It's bitten me with a broken collarbone and torn ACL. But the good was I was at the very first race they ever held, and I won my only big bike championship in a series they had. I also ran over a snake coming down the downhill. The big uphill is so brutal come second motos with the kickers that develop at the top. A true outdoor mx track.

The news is great, I was just talking with someone about if it was still for sale last week.

My question is is where does the track stand because I thought the shut down and sale was because of one neighbor that filed complaints about noise? It that remedied, did the state tell them to piss off?

I believe that was resolved a few years ago.
They are limited to a fixed number of events per year.
Most of the race weekends were two days, mx on Saturday, and a 45 minute Cross Country on Sunday.
Hope the new owners do something similar as you got plenty of racing in for the trip.

Add me to the list of people who are pumped!! Love the whole section leading up the hill.

Nice video. Brought back memories on the flatter approach to the steep uphill.

Was tapped in 4th on my '01 KX327 two-stroke when I was pitched over the bars. Had to 45mph plus. Must have hit a rock and the rear fender told the tale. Complete bottom out rubber (fender bolt to fender bolt) covering the entire underside of the fender. Had hand guards on which helped to break my hand as I was ejected.

And with that said, been back a few times since and looking forward to going again. Smile

Place should have a National. That elevation is awesome.
