Glover had terrific style and always rode cool and collected. Some of the Championships he pulled off against vastly superior equipped riders from other teams was amazing.

1979. First year that Yamaha ran the "FIM / GP" style side plates in the AMA Nationals. The late '70s OWs were awesome!

Glovers style on those late 70's Yamaha's looked way ahead of the curve to me. I dont think Ive ever seen a bad pic of him on a bike......

If you listened to Steve Matthes' MXDN podcast this was the Bike that Broc mentioned where he borrowed RJ's air box for more power. Always thought this was a weird pic because the whole bike was the euro white and red accept for the one side number plate. Now I know why he did that.

That's the 1982 season. Glover used the new Simmons USD forks instead of the works KYB forks. Brad Lackey ran them that season also when he won the FIM 500 World Title. Suzuki was pissed big time about Lackey using them but I've never read any stories about Yamaha having a problem with Glover using them.
