At the time it was unprecedented but in 98 Larry Ward got re hired by the Factory Suzuki team. Up until this point i do not believe anyone had lost their Factory ride, gone privateer and then got their Factory ride back. Timmy Ferry would do it later but Big Bird was the 1st.
