Just more Supercross Motocross. Most of the tracks are becoming jumpier, I don't know about you guys, but I would love to see all the top guys on a turn track.

Distance?

Talk about a multi gear committment.
First test-riders on the new Fly 150 jump at Hangtown. The first step is 75 feet. It's 150 to clear the second one. This will be a must-see at Hangtown this year.

I've raced hangtown a few times. Wondering what section of the track this is at. I could double but the triple looks huge.

I'm pretty sure it's the section that had the weird downhill triple thing, then a 90 degree right hand turn, then a step up and step down after it into a tight left 180. It looks like they basically turned the two jumps into one. Any word on how they changed the track up prior to it because if it's where I'm thinking it is, there is no way anyone could clear that with so little run up. Also, any word on if this will stay there after? Definately not commiting to hitting it but I'd be curious to see how close I could get.

Then watch flat track. Fans love watching riders hit big jumps.

Why do so many people complain about SX and MX? If you don't like the sport and what it has to offer then watch something else?

A big jump doesn't always = supercross. Supercross is all about rhythm and combinations. If you don't like it, I understand, I just don't see it having much to do with sx. Personally, I don't mind a few big jumps to test the best riders in the world as long as the whole track isn't littered with them and the track has plenty of other natural elements to it.

You don't mind a big jump to test the best riders in the world? That jump doesn't test anything, all the b riders at LLs would do it.

Yeah, that's true, but I don't mind watching them hit it either. My main point though, is that a big jump does not = supercross.

I don't mind a big signature jump on a MX track, especially a National Track. Very cool to watch for a mere mortal like myself. I don't like when rhythm sections show up and an over emphasis of jumps appear. But Im old, so you young guys can flame on me. Ill love the sport until the day they turn me to ash regardless.

I pretty much agree with this. A big signature jump is a great feature on an MX track. I've got more issue with the over grooming than the addition of a big triple step up. not loke the bikes can't handle it with ease.

Run it this year then next year reverse the track and jump down it. You talk about separating the men from the boys.

And that thing is not nearly as big as it was before.

honestly though, its cool and all, but is 150 ft even big for a professional caliber rider? Not to mention the bike.
BUT
with the same token, is it necessary to go 150 ft flying through the air?! i love watching roczen dungey tomac ect ect swap down a 3rd/4th gear straight away and pull that off over a high flyin jump outdoors.....

No it's no where near the down hill triple area It's beside where the parts unlimited Hospitality tent use to be, it's 4 corner from where you go up and round by the oak tree. they're jumping toward the off road truck track.
