It reminded me of golf with that divet in the ground. I didn't know he actually dug into the grass. Damn.

I sure am glad they got all that rain. Softened the landing a bit.

So, let's say he somehow stays on the bike.

Does he actually land it and then just get back on the track?

He definitely needs to leave the K-Dub style transfers to Kevin Windham himself.Wink

Probably would have token out either 1) The mule or 2) The honda guys.

Btw I like how the 2nd angle, the guy watches Reed like die, then he keeps filming the other riders do the jump like its no big deal.

it was scary to see, so glad he hit the transition though and landed safe - when he was mid flight I was like " shit man, 2 broken ankles"

Come On Reed!!!

Yesterday Reed tweeted something like " I hurt all over except my knees and ankles. Thank you Asterisk and AlpineStars!"

I am thankful to not witness the brutal end of a Brilliant career. I shrieked like a little girl watching that in my living room.

That was one of the scariest I have seen. My wife and I were watching it and were just completely speechless when he got back on the bike. No whining only winning!

You know, a rider can thank a boot & knee brace company a thousand times on the podium, but that one Tweet was worth more than years of the podium stuff combined. Its cool to see safety gear do its job when it was needed the most.

Good stuff.

Wow. Watching that second angle It only took Reed 36 seconds to get back on his feet. Chad hits the ground at the 4 sec mark and is up at 40 sec. By the end of the 55 second clip he has the bike started and ready to turn around and re-enter the track.

On race day I seem to recall people were saying it was amazing that he came back to finish 14th because he laid on the ground for 3-4 minutes. It sure seemed longer when I watched it live. I guess that is why eyewitness testimony is so often wrong.
