Does anyone remember or have pics or videos of the Dec. 13, 1975 American Motocross Finals held at Anaheim Stadium? My uncle Furman Gray raced the 500cc class that Tony D won. I was told he pulled the holeshot and lead a few laps before his front hub broke over a jump causing him to flip and brake his collar bone. I actually have an old news clipping of his crash. Furman was still 15 yrs old that night. His B'day was Dec. 31. I'd love to find old pics or videos. There is a video on YouTube of him at Unadillia. Anyways, thanks...

I found this. It's the entire article from the April 1976 issue of Popular Cycling. It's amazing that your uncle was only 15 and competing at such a high level with all the big boys of the era.

Thank you very much. His old scrap book had the top copy of that page. But not the bottom.
Furman had extreme talent I've been told. People I've met at Loretta Lynn's, my family and so many others. As I can remember being at many tracks, I remember Furman riding me on tracks, and family pointing him out to me like over a jump. But at 4 I have very little memory more than that. Thank you again.

Just read your post,l. Sorry, was caught up in the article.
Yeah Furman had to have my granddad's written consent to race. You were suppose to be 16. With his 16 B'day only days away they allowed him to compete. He won a big event held down South, winner got to race at Anaheim.
