I went on a covert mission with a buddy of mine the 1st of the year to Saddleback (The Irvine Co and Orange Police Dept. do not like people back behind the fences--big fine so I'm told) .

This image is down by the lower pit section when you started back up the hill to the finish line corner. If you look into the distance, you can see the telephone pole on Suicide Mountain up on the terraces. The big green tree on the right was the right hand turn under the tree. Boy, going back to Saddleback really brought back a smile to my face that day.

Yikes! Nature sure has reclaimed it.

Saddleback could be a dried out piece of sh*t............but it was my favorite track.

From the general public's point of view, you would never know that M/X history was on this land. But as an former Saddleback MX'r, you can shut your eye's, open them...take a look around..., it all comes back. And you know EXACTLY where everything once was. Webco, Banzi, the start hill, Suicide Mountain, etc... Yes mother nature has reclaimed it, but for us growing up their, it will always be ours.

And yes, the article Jody did was a good one.
