Last week I bought an 03 CR250 and it needs new plastic. I was going to put the 04+ plate and front fender on, but have saw a few with 09 and up 450 front fenders. I can't seem to track down any pics of this setup. Can someone post a few if they have any?

Two years ago I had an 05 that I wished I hadn't sold so this is my new 2stroke fix.

I went ahead and pulled my 450 fender and plate off and spotted and drilled some holes.

This bike has a long way to go cosmetically. Motor sounds and feels new, but I think it was mostly trail rode and left dirty after every ride. Going to order new plastic and and then mostly for safety purposes go over the whole bike.

Wow, looks so much more up to date. I have the newer CR plastic, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna do this too.

Yeah, it does seem to freshen up the look.

Barnett > Looks good. I bet that was a lot .of work. I'll probably stay with stock with everything else except a white rear fender. I'll let you know if I decide to jump in the deep end.

How hard was it to fit the 09+ stuff on there?

It was easy for the fender. I have only drilled the front two holes so far because I just wanted to see how it looks.

- I used the same bolt spread width as the CR fender which is also the same as the 450.
- Center drilled a small hole and then drilled a 23/64 hole. This is a good size for the stock fender washers to fit into.
- If I remember right I drilled the holes 9/16 of an inch on center from the step in the 450 fender and in line with the holes that are already there..

Real simple.

When I get some time in the next few days at work I'll make a bracket for the number plate to bolt on using the stock CR mount. At this point it is just sitting where it would go.

Anyone recommend a company for after market plastic? I would like to support Cycra since they are in Ohio. Polisport has cheap stuff, but not sure how durable it is...also Acerbis and UFO? I should just get Cycra. OEM Honda is out of the question because of price.

We use a fender from a 2009-2012 crf450r or 2010-2013 crf250r and a cycra stadium plate for those same models.

Next time we will make a bracket to use the stock front # plate mounting tabs

RACESTHILAIRE > Its amazing how much fresh it makes the look of the older bikes. Even your 2000-2001 model there looks great.

It definitely does freshen up the look. That bike was a complete basket case build we did that came in with the handlebars snapped off, no rear fender, mud stained, etc. I think it turned out okay!

Mine. When you use a CRF upper clamp and a Cycra plate, you just put a hole for one 8mm bolt through the top center and all your number plate woes are solved.

Anyone seen this done with a KX250?

A front fender is just 4 bolt holes and a bottom triple clamp. As long as you have the accompanying front plate, you can put whatever you want, on any bike you want. Having a Cycra plate makes it that much easier because they mount with 3 zip ties.

Looks good, are the fork guards still the same from 2002CR's to 2013 CRF's?

usualy the fork guards are speciic to the fork itself because of the lug. and the 09-12 have KYBs. the likelihood of the KYB and the Showa lug being identical, is pretty low.

I have an 07 CRF 450. Do you guys know if they make triple clamps that would allow the newer from number plate and fender to just bolt up??

You should be able to use the newer fender/plate with your 07 without changing the clamps. It's mostly a matter of lining up the fender and drilling new holes. You have be a little creative with mounting the number plate. Some make a bracket or use zip ties.

Yeah that is what I did already, the fender bolted up good just not real stoked on the number plate.

Looking at my buddies 05 CRF 450 with Ride Engineering triple clamp it looks like they have the tabs to mount the new plate, as well as the center hole mount.

Just so I'm perfectly clear, for an '01 CR250, I can use EITHER an 09-12 crf450 OR an 10-13 crf250 cycra fender and cyra stadium plate? Is there any real difference between the two? What do you recommend as the better option? Also, any recommendations for side plates or rear fender? Trying to do an easy upgrade. Your '01 looks very clean. I love the style.

What did you have to do to get the 13 plastics on? I have a 2008 CRF 450r and 13 front fender and plate but didn't try to do the shrouds and side plates and rear fender.

Just scored a fairly clean 2000 cr125. only thing shitty is the fenders and graphics are really faded. Gonna try and update the look. So far I'm gonna order:

10' CRF250 front fender
cycra stadium front number plate
white rear fender
graphics and seat cover

Any other suggestions?

Does anyone know if the side shrouds on a 04 cr125 will fit on the 2000?

Thanks for any help in advance!
