Asterisk knee brace extension lockout adjustment help?

I’ve bought an Asterisk 4.0 knee brace and cannot get any change into the lockout angle extension after adjusting the hinge side screws all the way in, and all the way out. Looking  for 10 degrees from full extension. This is the second brace I’ve bought new, with the same problem as the first. I contacted Asterisk on the first brace, they told me it was defective and return it for a refund & they would review it. Never heard back from them. I needed a brace though, so I bought another from RMATV and same problem.

 RMATV has no clue, and Asterisk does not pickup their phone and the voicemail is not working. Would like to resolve it as I hope to ride this weekend.
 Is this a common problem or am I missing something? Thanks …
