Im taking my wife to her first supercross, and i haven't been to one in over 20 years, so I'm in need of some advice. Are back packs allowed? If anyone could give any other tips, thoughts and dos and don'ts would be greatly appreciated. Also so we will be staying a few days afterwards what else should we look to do in Denver.
Backpack is a no in the stadium.
Nashville made my girl throw her purse away (must be clear) to get in the stadium and she had a credential.
Nfl stadium, so they have special bag rules. Look at the clear bag policy in the link. Everything about the venue is at the link.

I’ll be in section 314. First time here also.
"food" for thought here....just back from Philly SX, $59.10 for 2 beers and 2 pretzels. thieves.
The Shop
So much for the "City of Brotherly Love" 😲
I was at Philly too. Don’t really need to go back there. 1/4 of the stadium open till 1/2 hr before opening ceremonies, a guy in our row paid $64 for a beer and a mixed drink, $25 for 2 pretzels and a water. I’m closer to Philly (near where Hamaker is from actually) but NYC has been a way better experience the past few years.
The bag policy got my wife too. Her bag was 2” too big. Had to pay $15 for a small locker.
To answer the Op question, take an empty monster can to get in the pits. Wait a little bit to leave for the stadium to empty. Doesn’t actually take long. It’s better to walk a little bit to park so you don’t have to wait in the lot to get out if possible. Visit the privateers in the pits. They are super appreciative and really accessible.
It’s up to the stadiums not feld.
ill be there with my pops n brother.. section 107, row 40, seats 15/16/17
I lived 1.5 miles from the stadium three months ago until I ended things with my girlfriend. Kinda wish I was up there now.
As for other stuff to do, what do you like to do and where are you coming from?
The skiing right now is fantastic. Winter Park (Marry Jane side is still open) was killer today.
We have a few motocross tracks if you want to ride MX, but trails are pretty much all snowed in still.
Me and dad and brother will also be coming down from Canada. Is there anywhere to go mountain biking at this time of year? We're staying a few days after also.
Drive west on 70 and check out the Lakewood track and plonk about at Red Rocks. Back on 70 and head up to explore Breckenridge and Vail. Brewpubs for sustenance.
If the wife rides, I was there a couple weeks ago visiting my son and did an adventure bike ride which was cool. Part street and part dirt. Colorado Springs seems to be a much nicer city than Denver and has a bunch of good restaurants.
Red Rocks, usually before 3pm because they will kick you out before any concert starts.
Thunder Valley track, Dakota Ridge hike or bike, check out the dinosaur tracks
Union Station
Idaho Springs, Georgetown, Breckenridge
Flagship REI
First weekend for the South Pearl Street Farmer's Market is this Sunday, in my neighborhood... It's the best around.
You might see me there picking up some apple turnovers Sunday morning. Not to be confused with Boulder's Pearl Street, which is also a fine spot to visit. South Pearl Street is one of Denver’s most historical, charming, and popular shopping and eating districts.
Sushi Den for the best and most expensive sushi in the city, also on South Pearl.
Small bike park at Ruby Hill
Dairy Block, The Source, Stanley Marketplace
Church of Cannabis
Manitou Springs
Pikes Peak Brewery in Colorado Springs, which I believe is now called Uprise Taphouse. It's an incredible brewery and food spot.
hey thanks guys for the tips! since you have to take a lone out to eat there can you leave before the race and get something close by to eat and get back in with out a big hassle? Disbanded looks like you hit the nail on the head the wife likes your ides
Right on, have fun!
Not sure about a restaurant, maaaybe the Original Brooklyn's pub.
Make sure you can get back in first.
