Just saw this... This is RC at his best in my opinion. I laughed at the part where the guy was about to ride the bike and was looking/ grabbing the front brake and RC said around the 15 min mark "don't even fuck with this. Don't fuck with that".
Ricky did a GREAT job.
Thanks for posting the link. I like Dan Patrick …it was fun to watch 👍
Love that Triumph whistle
RC's straight-up advice is always on point. He doesn't hold back, and that's what makes his tutorials so helpful.
The Shop
RC is an absolute legend and a great ambassador for the sport we all love. Great video!
RC did very well with that! Thanks for posting.
Great clip. He in a new environment where he’s not under constant microscopic scrutiny. Have any of his haters thought if they’d ease up on the guy a little he could relax and bring his true personality and wealth of knowledge?
Ricky was awesome. I need to give him a break on his announcing. No more negative comments from me.
Still doing more mainstream media than the current guys lol
Gotta give credit where credit is due. He did a great job!
Kind of shows how much more is going on during a live race telecast! Great Job by RC yet in the comments of the vid still negative comments????
That was actually pretty great.
It’s always surprising to me how little the average guy knows about motorcycles. I truly thought that guy was going to wad up in the parking lot. He could barely get on the bike. RC represented our sport as good as anybody could have. Very cool!
Broke my heart when he dropped and scratched that helmet. Could have thrown the new helmet ritual in and given Dan the option. Good Job by Ricky.
^^^^This^^^^
He’s a badass, that’s for sure.
He's low-key to the point of being overly humble. I'd like to see some fire or spunk once in a while in these conversations. "Yes I kicked their butts and I ENJOYED IT !!"
Vuillemin is right, Ricky is way too sedate about his accomplishments. It actually diminishes what he has done on a dirt bike.
thts wht some are saying, hes more natural & organic wid his speaking & talking doing this than live announcing which is fine , not errybody can translate well to other departments
No Doubt RC's a cool dude. Was always an idol of mine in the late 90s early 00s.
His first year in 250 supercross , myself and a buddy and his girlfriend were in a Mexican restaurant in Mission Viejo. When the guy sat us at our table we talked a bit with him about the A1 SX that was running that week so we knew the host guy was into moto too.
Few minutes later, the guy who sat us comes over and says RC and Johnny Omara are walking in and that he was going to set them at the table next to us. After they sat down, we wanted to get a pic (happened to have my digital camera with me) so we thought it'd be a good idea to have my buddy's GF ask. She pops over to their table and the next thing we know , RC is up out of his seat and at our table talking about how excited he was for his first 250 SX race. Was super friendly and outgoing to us and after talking for a bit he asks us about getting that pic we wanted. We get a few pics and they looked fine on the small viewing screen on the camera so thought all was good. Turned out, I had dropped the camera on the sidewalk coming in and that apparently messed up what does the focusing because when I viewed the pics on a full screen they were SOOO BLURRY ... Lol...I was pretty bummed!
Just had the chance to watch this on the Dan Patrick YouTube channel and agree it was a great video but more importantly how awesome was it to see a MX bike on a show like that. I'd have to guess that the majority of people who watch his show aren't motorsports people. And on the day the show aired it was the NFL draft weekend so I am guessing that his show has got to be one of the more popular sports shows that fans tune into during draft weekend so that would increase the number of people who got the chance to see Ricky, Dan a motocross bike and hear more about the sport. Whoever was behind this in our sport, feld and or NBC deserves a huge pat on the back for helping bring our sport into the mainstream. It may not seem like much but I'm sure the more interviews like this happen the more credibility our sport will earn. Kudos to all involved and thanks to RC for being such a great ambassador to our sport.
