Could be the most accurate post on vital this year.

My bad...  Wildcat Racing.  If this tenure makes it through August I will be fucking amazed.  And will proudly stand corrected.

Lorenzo Locurcio's dad owns the team...they actually did pretty good on 450's last year...

Well, this is interesting.....left a factory team seemingly because he wasn't comfortable and now joins a low end privateer team.  He better come out swinging and minimum finish top 10 considering how Swoll is performing on the bike he left.

Orrrrrrr…. Does this open the door for him to fill in on an Austrian factory bike if someone gets hurt?

Well at least he can throw whips and post instabangers about his new team now…since that’s all he cares about

Nope. Definitely no bridges burned. Probably had this in their plan all along.

IMO, there are better riders that could fill those spots if anyone gets hurt.

Top 10? HA! I'm not weirdly cheering for him to fail like Vital is but he's a top 20 guy.

Hell of a gamble…

This whole ring around the Rosie of bikes while trying to make your mark in the sport is super weird to me. How could he/they expect any consistent result in the last couple years. A new Evan will have to show up to be “considered” for a fill in ride.

I bet Swoll will be there or close and Savatgy damn sure will......so Evan better be or he will look like more of a tool for leaving than he already does.

You’re not the only one. You would think with a dad that had a fairly successful career his career would be a little better managed. If 5 years ago you wrote a script of the careers of Haiden and Evan and had to match the name to the future I’m guessing most would’ve had them switched

As a dude that’s not even tried to figure out what actually went down between Evan and Triumph…

I can’t help but wonder if, maybe…just maybe, there wasn’t going to be a factory bike for him “outdoors”? Was he guaranteed a ride over there for the Nationals?

Let’s see, he leaves just before the end of SX after a fairly horrific crash that we all saw. We hear him and Steve sort of delicately not say a whole lot about how and why he left…right? Honestly, I think that was the smart play for Team Ferry.

Anyways…beyond all that…Triumph has Joey coming on-board for the Nationals and Jalek has been pulling down some damn good results and I think he was signed for 2 years of SMX…?

So, all the joking around aside, I’m stoked to see the kid found a good opportunity…oh, & the last time I checked…

It’s “The Real Racers” that want to race Motocross…outdoors.

If he shreds outdoors and lands a gig with Mitch or Star…? I can promise you…we’re all gonna dig this thread up and have some laughs!

See you at the races.

Other than his last name I know nothing about the kid. I need to see him race a few races before I can pass any judgment on his abilities. I hope he does well.

So the kid gets an opportunity on a non-factory team to go race nationals and everyone is giving him shit for it. If he had turned down the offer and said he'll only ride a factory bike then people would surely lose their minds. Seems like the kid can't win at this point.

I hope he makes something of it.

I think most peoples issue is he has bailed on a lot of factory/factory supported deals to reach this point and comes off as a quitter who just wants to post social media edits...

I don't know enough to judge, weird career trajectory, but we'll see how he does over summer.

Very insightful. I never would’ve thought to look at it like that but so true.

Anybody know if Butron is in for outdoors again? This is the team he was on right?

I'm probably wrong, but didn't Jose' Butron ride ride with Wildcat support in last years Nationals?

And Mattihas Talviku as well? Saw he's signed with Rides Unlimited/RMATV MC Racing in MXA's website for this Outdoors season.

I remember Rubini was supposed to race the outdoors with Wildcat last year and had to pay his way in. More than he expected so it didn't happen.

I guess Ferry's a paying customer too?

Let's send it down to Maverick. Mav, watcha got?

Wink

Exactly. If the situation was as Green put it my play would be to force Triumph’s hand and make them come out with the PR saying they can’t support his outdoor effort, not quit the team and give them an out.
