What kind of durability are you guys seeing with these? Curious on hours/wear.

15 hrs. Nothing excessive. Ditched the chain at 10 out of habit. Cracked a side panel from squeezing the bike. Forgot to wash it for a week and had a little oxidization on the frame rails (dumba$$), but knocked it off with some 0000 steel wool. I’m satisfied with the holdup.

35+ hours, no issues other than brittle stock plastic… who makes this?! That right side panel by lower subframe mount will crack.

First Kawi, so far so good. 🤙🏼

I have ridden the previous gen and as a wag I would say this 2024 is 5% better overall than last gen (assuming uncorking muffler can).

Curious what percent improvement long time Kawi guys would give it. 🤔

I don't know if the axle diameters are different for an SR, but I can tell you that I'm using the stock wheels from my 2019 KX450 on my 2024 KX450.  The only change I had to make was ordering a 240mm Tusk rotor for the 2019 rear wheel.  The rotor was only like $45.

I just ordered tusk rotor that fits a 23 kx250 which is stock rotor of 240 mm. Hoping that’s correct. Should be!

Yup.  That is exactly what I did.

ML, you may have already posted this. But between the yosh and the PC pipe, which would you give the nod too?

Is it ok to add the Pro Honda A15-00 oil to the forks instead of the Kawasaki A15-00? The Kawasaki stuff is expensive.

Anyone know how a PC ti6 pro sounds compared to stock?  Is it much louder?

Yes it’s going to be louder.. the stock has to meet a certain DBA

Has anyone done much experimenting with different maps? I see the Chavez map just adds fuel and no ign changes. I haven't played with it yet but curious how useful of a tool it is to alter power to your liking... Once you open up the intake and exhaust is it advised to add fuel or was that kinda built in with the base setting...? Just got mine haven't ridden it yet, super sweet bike and can't wait to rip it!

I’m running the Chavez map with full PC T-6 exhaust and it’s spot on., bike is crisp and clean all the way thru the power delivery

Has anybody heard any news of an SR coming out for 2025?  I'm loving my '23 SR and would love to replace it with a '25 SR.

Also, to RCMXracing I have owned an 07, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 23 KX450 and all have been super reliable.  The only issues I ever had were the chain guide wearing out quickly but even that was fixed with the '19 generation.  The 19 was a huge step forward for me as I could never come to grips with the air forks so stock to stock it was a huge upgrade.  I have over 55 hard hours on my bone stock 23SR with zero problems.

I have the Pro. It is louder than stock, but will pass AMA tech if it is packed correctly.

I have played around alot with mapping and actually ended up back at stock. I'm running opened up air box and Ti6 exhaust. I feel like the kx app is a bit of gimmick compared to the yamaha one.

The KX app is super easy to use.. not really a gimmick since it’s basically a carbon copy of the Yamaha one

I agree that the app is very easy to use and very similar to the yamaha app. Where it differs is the actual effect it has on the bike. Changes on the yamaha app are very noticeable, not so much on the kx.

KBMM is in a few weeks. That stands for Kawasaki Business Management Meeting. That's when Kawasaki reveals the 25 line up to the rest of the company.

Anyone seen an available airbox wash cover for the TA power flow setup? I talked to TA about a few weeks ago and they said it should’ve been late April and gave me a part number (160135) but I haven’t seen it available yet.

Maybe the "Breaking News" post on page 52 of this thread will help explain certain primate behavior; it's certainly a pattern.

I noticed you had Precision Concepts do your suspension. I had them do mine on my 21 kx450 set up for the west hare scramble series and really like it. Thinking about pulling the trigger on a 24 and swapping out the fork internals with the PC stuff I already have on my 21. Have you talked to Bob Bell about what changes he's made to the valving between the previous gen vs this new 24? Just curious if they're similar or if the set up is completely different for this new chassis. I know I'll have to have the rear redone, since the shock is completely different, just wondering about the forks.

Everyone is waiting for that wash cover, it's been a little frustrating.  No ETA on this part either.

We had one from Twin Air to test back in January but we had to give it back to them.  You guys who own a 3D printer, can you get on this?

Hopefully they get one ready for purchase soon. I’m a little paranoid about washing without a cover.

Completely different set up. I asked Bob if I can run my other forks in a pinch & he said they will bolt on but are set up different.

The 24 is definitely a lot different than the previous gen. Overall seems good. I’ll post a further report after a few more tracks this weekend! Cahuilla was a little ehh today. Made several adjustments that all helped.

Brembo brake is absolute dogshit 😂😂 for my last moto of the day I put my old brake set up on & it felt much better. I thought Brembo was supposed to be the cats ass? Asked my buddies what they thought about their brakes & got a similar response (don’t work, frustrated)

Totally agree on the Brembo, I felt like my 22 had better stopping power.

The brembo is more progressive braking..prefer it versus instant lock on

That sounds really strange to me.  I feel like the Brembo brake is one of the biggest improvements when I compare my ‘24 to my ‘19.
