Just a heads up to anyone who might have any way of fixing this problem... The quality of life I get out of seeing threads go from regular to bold when there's a new comment I haven't read is fantastic; I love it. I've noticed, however, that if the most recent comment posted is edited, the thread title will remain bold in the subforum until a new comment is posted and if I click the thread, it just brings you to the original post like it would if you had read all the comments before.
I'm using Google Chrome on PC and Safari on iOS and am experiencing the same issue on both.
Just an example, I've read both these threads fully before this screenshot. Both of the most recent comments were edited, have been read and yet both are still bolded after viewing, even after the edits. You can also see the times of which the comments are posted and edited make the listing a little out of order considering how the "older comment" is listed above the newer one. But those times are just when the comment was last edited. Hopefully this info is helpful to sort out this bug.
Been having the same problem for months. I gave up hoping for a resolution. Been this way since the big Vital update a while back. Trouble is it’s intermittent for me on both iPhone 13 Pro running latest iOS and windows laptop running updated Win 10.
I'm sure you've noticed by now, but I believe this issue has been fixed.
