I have a 2023 fc 250 with only 9.5 hours on it and it’s struggling to stay running. One day when I showed up to the track the bike didn’t want to start when it was cold and only stayed running if I gave it some throttle. I rode it around the track for a few laps and the problem seemed to go away and it started fine after that. Later in the day I took a tip over in a turn and for some reason the problem returned and the bike didn’t want to stay running after that and if it did run it sounded like shit. I’m still having the problem and sometimes the bike won’t start at all now. If it does run it stalls out when I give it throttle. I checked the fuel filter and it was fine, I played with the idle screw and it didn’t help and I also changed the spark plug which also didn’t help. I checked around the bike and all the wiring seemed good. I tried starting it with the rollover sensor unplugged which also didn’t help and I emptied out the gas and put new gas in it. Also sometimes when I’m cranking it over it will do a very loud back fire that sounds like a gun shot. Someone save me please lol

Check spark plug cap, in the older generation they would crack inside and cause all sorts of gremlins. If you need a new one it's about 25 bucks for a new one and it just screws on the end of the wire.

You might try turning up the idle to see if that helps. Also check the valve clearance. It would be pretty rare to see KTM valves tighten up in 8 hours but it can certainly happen. Could be a plugged fuel filter too. There are two on a KTM. One at the pump and one in the quick connect between fuel tank and injector.
