2017 KTM 350 SXF, in the service manual in the instructions for engine rebuilding right before you split the case it gives the instruction to "remove the screw cap of the engine fixing arm"
does anybody know what that means? I cannot find the term "engine fixing arm" anywhere else in the manual, or online. The only other place I can find it is when you are putting the engine back together and it then asks you to "mount the screw cap of the engine fixing arm" but no picture or instruction on what that is. Any help is appreciated!
Im taking that as the nut or bolt that is holding the cases together onto the engine stand fixture..
That would make sense, especially since they instruct you to tilt the engine upward before removing! Thank you, I guess I was just over thinking it!
And you are 100% correct, now that you say it, it mentions it clear as day as the very first thing you do!
I love the KTM jargon in the manuals. I've gotten pretty good at it now. lol
