Nice, I have one I should/need/want to do. It is shoved way to the back of my line. Looking great there......

Whose side panels are they? Fenders OEM?  thanks

DC side panels- they are actually pretty good molds- minus the mount brackets

the fenders are a mix of DC and originals

The DC fenders fit pretty good - I will wrap the fenders in a 3m clear.

Good luck on finding the stock plastics

I purchased 1 nos rear fender for 450.00

and 1 decent used front fender for $350

i made the molds for new front plates

and the seat bases

Wow, fenders sound super expensive. I just checked, Vitnage Suzuki does not list them. I have used their plastic on the bigger bikes and quality is pretty good. I have a box of motor stuff when I picked this up, so I should get the motor together and hope it motivates me. Key word is "Should"!

Thanks for sharing the iinfo.

Pretty awesome bikes!!! I have a couple my buddy and I used for a special 80 vmx race about 5 years back. I have videos of us in back yard tuning on them. We laughed so hard as we ripped around popping wheelies, pulling hole-shots we nearly peed ourselves! All that explosive power on a short wheelbase with a 150lb rider sitting towards back is dangerous..

I would not wait to purchase any parts you can find.

Many parts on ebay are incorrect

rubber parts- carb boots the 1977 boots do not fit the 78, same with throttle cables

clutch parts , including the covers do not interchange

front brake cables - the lengths are all over the place- I think i purchased 6 to get the correct ones.

throttle cable- the 80-81 cables are too long

the 77 is different also

the supeceded part numbers are a close match but long/ short etc

I still look through all the 1977-79 Ebay pages everyday looking for the impossible to find parts.

I have some decent used parts, I will be selling soon.

Just for fun, I took the #34 bike to a large dealer show here, over 70 bikes entered the show.

It won  Best in Show award! they had 6 awards total, so I was surprised when they called my name to bring the bike up front

That 77 model is amazing. I had one as a kid at 11 years old and raced the mini junior class all the time.

That would have been a factory race bike for me it was mine for sure. I can tell you mine was box stock.
