The AEO Powersports KTM Racing Team just announced a mutual split from Ryder McNabb, who has decided to return to Canada rather than compete in the 2025 SuperMotocross World Championship. McNabb was poised to join Talon Hawkins and Lux Turner in the United States.

"This week, Ryder expressed his desire to return to his home country of Canada to pursue the 2025 Canadian National Motocross Championship. We have enjoyed working with Ryder and wish him all the best as he returns to racing on home soil." – Jeremy Scism, AEO Powersports KTM Racing Team Owner

McNabb had limited success aboard the KTM 250 SX-F – he raced the first five rounds of AMA Pro Motocross before withdrawing with an unspecified health problem. A 13th in race one at Thunder Valley was a season-best score.

"I am incredibly grateful to the AEO Powersports team for the opportunity to race this year and for their commitment to supporting me throughout my recovery this past summer." – Ryder McNabb

The AEO Powersports KTM Racing Team remains committed to a three-man line-up for the 2025 SMX World Championship; Lux Turner and Talon Hawkins are set to return. A third star – the replacement for McNabb – is set to be announced in the coming weeks.

v4 updated.

Notable:

1. VitalMx reporting Ryder McNabb to GDR Honda for 2025;

Blake and Julien will both be in Troy Lee gear with Astar boots, and I think SPY goggles for both Supercross and the Canadian Nationals in 2025 for MVP-Triumph.

v5 updated.

Notable:

1. CMXU reporting Dylan Rempel to KTM on a 250 for 2025 (he had a contract from GDR pending);

2. Direct Motocross reporting Noah Viney possibly to GDR on a 250;

3. If Triple Crown 250 rule doesn't change, we could see Ryder McNabb on a 450 for 2025.

In other words...same shit, different day since he was 14. There goes his future in the US. Love GDR though!

Ryder will be on a 250.

I don't get the Viney thing. He raced Walton and went 13-16 for 14th overall. He has a full blown SX track in his backyard and was 6 seconds off the pace at the WSX round.

Ryder on a 250 still needs to be confirmed, if they don't change the rule he has to race 450 as I understand.

Sitting here, imagining a GDR Honda 450 team with Wright and McNabb... I mean, Ryder would have some growing pains to be sure but that might be about as dominant a team we've ever seen up here, rivalling Blackfoot's heyday.

The Viney kid(?) stood out to me as well at WSX. Who is he and how the heck did he get hired by MCR (and now GDR)? Maybe he has Honda connections or brings a lot of money/sponsorship. Didn't appear to have any business being in a professional SX race.

Not if the rule doesn't change. He falls under the same criteria as Benoit. I think it would be lame to change it for one person and one particular situation. Why change it for McNabb when they weren't going to for Benoit?

You want to come home and race our nationals? Race the class you're eligible for.
