Born and Raised in California. I've lived all over this state. From Nor Cal to Orange County. Die hard Californians will defend this place to their death. Yes it is unique in the fact you can literally do anything you want. The beaches used to be enjoyable, now not so much. Overcrowding, and the water near Santa Monica is filthy. Imperial beach has sewage in it from Mexico. Sure, you learn the places to avoid so you can stay in your bubble. That way you can say it's not that bad. Homelessness is a problem everywhere, its the worst in...

1. Only Los Angeles and San Francisco Metro areas are considered "Liberal". Most of the 40 MILLION residents are moderate or conservative. stop believing the bullshit spewing from Fox News and instagram. 2. Most riders here are experienced enough to know how to conduct themselves around slower bikes and riders. Yes there are a few incidents here and there, but overall the quality and skill level of track riders in this state is very good for the huge amount of dirt bikes that show up at the track on any given day.

I lived there for a long time, and did very well. Took that knowledge and put SoCal in the rear view mirror and padded the bank account. Make more now with less expenses. There’s good people there, but the degenerates, dead beats and back stabbers not so much. I rarely go back to SoCal and don’t miss it.

If you want to be competitive in the AMA pro national series, you have to train in Florida or Georgia at a facility with other fast guys. California is a great place to have fun if you are a hobbyist, but the sport has evolved to the point to where a professional training on public tracks here will not prepare you for the conditions at AMA nationals. We just don't have the ruts or the humidity to prepare them for tracks like Red Bud or High Point. Of course, the beast Tomac is the exception here...

KTM is toast. I've been a KTM fanboy since 1972, that ended in 2019 when they started slapping orange plastic on 3rd world Bajajis. You ever see, or ride in, a Bajaj? I have. It's primitve copies of 1970s Euro and US technology. Just like most Russian shit. GREED. Stefan Pierer inherited a small, highly-regarded and profitable company. Wasn't good enough for him, he wanted to be famous and a celebrity and be on TV. Lost sight of KTM's reason to exist, which is making excellent dirtbikes. Piere wanted to "grow the sport"....make that, the TV time and "fame".... and...

Can't get rid of kick start otherwise it would be button-start Kenny or pull-start Kenny. Real men kick start their bikes!

If you really wanted more opportunities to ride a Beta you would go to the Beta Demo rides. Not the sharpest tool.
