A "value meal" at McDonald's is $20...a car battery is $300...a mid cut of steak is $12.99 a pound at the grocery store...Dollar Tree has nothing in their stores for $1....and....moto gear is ridiculously expensive....

Originally picked them up off ebay for an XT 350, but they ended up going on the 465. Went on without much trouble except for a little fussing with the springs if I remember right

I just wish there was some higher standard, scientifically tested and established by an independent source, of safety that a $800 helmet met that a $250 didn't meet. Say a "Snell Pro" or "ECE 22.06 Pro" rating (whatever) the $750 helmet met that the $250 could not meet. There is a test (puncture) that a Snell helmet can pass that...
Haiden Deegan has WON 5 (or 3 Time, take your pick) AMA Championships at the age of 19. 5 AMA championships at nineteen years old.... 2 time AMA 250 National Champion 1 AMA 250 West Supercross Championship 2 time AMA SuperMotocross World Champion Anyway you slice up those facts, it is literally the very definition of "living up to the...
Damn... You mean, basically, it's just like I've been using a 5/16 socket on my 8mm's and a 3/8 on the 10mm's all these fn years!?!? Weird this isn't more "common knowledge" stuff... I mean...I've known a lot of motorcycle tuners over the years, a buddy is a professional auto mechanic...nothing...never was even mentioned casually, never talked about in print...

Race Tech and, I believe, Factory Connection do the same thing. Go to their "school" (attend a bunch of seminars usually), learn their ways, their suspension philosophies and tuning techniques (or whatever) and your " diploma" is you get to open a Race Tech, a Factory Connection, or a TBT Franchise shop, basically. The "Brand Name" gives your shop credibility...

This post made for a fun flash back. In the early 70's there were two magazine columnists who would joust back and forth - vaguely recall it being Super Hunky Rick Sieman and Pete Szilagyi (one of the greats and first editor of MXA when it spun off from Dirt Bike). At some point one said to the other "wax my spokes." A buddy of mine, a better rider than I, would taunt me with that. One day we were some other friends out on a trail and he had an issue, and asked me for some tools. What he...

Pledge (or Dollar Store "Furniture Polish" ). Spin the wheel, fine mist spray the the whole wheel, rim and all. Wipe everything off with clean towel. Removes oxidation, leaves them shiny! Works great on aluminum frames, silencers, frame guards, even shines up the plastic nicely. Wise man's SC1 (SOS pad occasionally if they get real dirty, or they're badly grungy...
