I wish I could say I'm surprised they are doing this. But with all that they've (KTM family of products) gone through the last few years....is it really a surprise?

I feel bad for RJ in all this. Malcolm will for sure land a good ride. RJ has a TON to prove this summer and even if does awesome it likely won't be enough to land him an equally good spot on another team. He got hurt at a really inopportune time.

Was just about to say the same thing. I'm sure many people knew about this weeks before today, but there's a certain decorum and respect to be followed by those people in the know whilst getting everything finalized for the announcement. This affects people's and business's livelihoods and there's a time and place for the right announcement. This doesn't affect the POS Cooksey at all so he thinks he's breaking news by leaking it before the agreed time. He's just a scumbag with zero integrity and it's a shame that anyone with a bit of inside knowledge would give him...

They wait for official announcements to not only be more professional but also to maintain relationships with riders, teams and sanctioning bodies but Im sure some others were tipped off to this as well. The difference being Cooksey will continue to be some dude talking to a camera stuck in his garage “leaking” information (some true, some not) while actual media outlets will interview riders, create articles on their websites and be able to report on the racing events that they obtain media passes for and get to attend.

Especially weird since 16 hours ago ml512 responded to someone else’s thread saying there were no rumors floating around to confirm this.

This also explains the situation with RJ. Husky asked him to come back and race Supercross, he said, “give me a contract and I’ll do it” obviously they said no.
