4/22/2026 5:32am This has been done for years in motorsports. They used to call it the hat dance in NASCAR because they would put 10 different hats on the winner in victory circle for sponsor photo ops.

3/28/2026 5:07am Croom is about 2 1/2 hours away. I plan on speaking at the next meeting again and I plan to bring up the fact that Volusia County has 40,000+ acres of public park and recreation land and not a single square foot dedicated to off road recreation of any kind.

I know At least one person you listed is behind the project and supporting it. Don Dempsey’s son races with my kid. Hope it all works out. Curious how a public track would work though. I get a riding area like croom, but an actual track seems far fetched

3/28/2026 5:04am Don is the one pushing this through. He is getting some flack like he is intending it for his kid but I'm pretty sure his kid rides at a facility already. This is a project he is leading for the community benefit.

Hard to argue that. But I've been down there a few times for everything during speedweeks. The local short tracks are just as much fun as the 24hrs, 500, moto, flat track, and road races. Crazy that a moto facility would be where tree huggers would make their stand. Even crazier the local politicians would take them seriously over anything racing oriented.

So send an Email to every one of the commissioners emails listed below? I will do asap….Im in Palm Beach county but its tough go down here for riding also….1 hr to Okeechobee and 2 to Orlando…Miami is closer but traffic is brutal…..

Until now this has looked like a slam dunk, and it was progressing through the purchase of the property and now that they are in the final stages the vocal minority of tree huggers has gone full court press...

3/25/2026 12:25pm My main takeaway is that Reacher is a way better fighter than that Allan Ritchson guy. It's amazing what choreography can do to make a guy look like he can fight.
