'81 cr125 Build

Beautiful bikes. I had a 1980 CR80 that was totally restored circa 1995ish, I hated that bike...I wanted a newer KX80 but man I would kill to have that bike now. Love the old school Hondas.

Really nice bike !!! Great job!!! Back in 1986 I was playing basketball at this girls house who lived a few streets over and the ball rolled in the corner her garage and I noticed a sheet covering a dirt bike. When I pulled the sheet back it was practically a brand new 81 CR125 that looked like it was rolled off the showroom floor. Even the original tires were still square edged. We got to talking and it was her brothers and he was off to college out of state and I was able to pick it up for $600. The bike was only ridden 6-7 times since it was bought brand new. My first 125, wasn't the best back in 81 but I sure had a lot of fun on it. If we could only go back in time.

As a Suzuki guy by then we scoffed at those Hondas, looked trick, seemed trick, just got in your way on the track. Lol...But matters little now, nice work..

They can be a bit of a pain to ride because of the binary power band but are some of the best looking dirtbikes ever built, to me.

Hey Kyle, do you still have the purple renthals that were on the 85 CR you and your dad bought from me?

Ps: The bike looks really good! I sure do miss it.
