Just thought I would open a discussion about the future of Motocross bikes. Based on the past and the present in Japan. Check out the very cool links to the exoctic works bike being raced in the All Japan Nationals as we speak. I really miss these works bikes being raced here in America. For me it was part of the fun of going to the pro races as a kid to see these beautiful bikes!

Always been a fan of the works stuff, but only ever get to see it in pictures. The GP's don't seem to have the exotic one-off hand made stuff they did in the 80's and early 90's. Maybe due to the Jap series being big enough to test in these days.

The biggest concern with development and progress is that the price of the bikes will continue to rise.

That's the down side of evolution and development. Have you priced a new truck latly to haul your new or old dirtbike in?

I have often wondered why we don't see any Japanese riders in the US nationals. Seems odd to me, since most of the bikes come from there.
Are there any Japanese riders in MXGP?

I would have to agree, but there are still some relly cool prototypes and trick goodies on the MXGP scene that we don't get to see in the US.
