Need some new meats for the 74 CR250. 110/100-18 rear and 80/100-21 front. Need some good intermediate rubber to do it all here in Texas.

Still looked pretty good after many hard years of thrashing. Been a constant state of evolvement from 1991 up to about 2005. Hasn't hardly been ridden in the past five years. Mostly gathering dust in the corner.

Wanna make a round slide carb rip? Billet trickness from the late John Astleford

Death drool from the shocks. Working on some sweet new ones from our friends here at Race Tech

Complete new gear set and shafts from fellow Vitard Stevie Denton in England will be going in with new long rod kit, seals, bearings and fresh top end

Did I mention Race Tech? They got to take on the job of making the front suspension great again. That is not supposed to be a 3 piece spring...lol

Springs, seals, fluids and modding of the dampener rods to accept their Gold Valve Emulators...they feel pretty damn amazing right out of the box.

The alloy arm was tweaked so it got sent off, untweaked, reinforced and heat treated. Now to get the shocks ordered up.

Cleaning up the pipe, swingarm and misc. bits

When was the last time you guys rebuilt your handlebars? Thanks to the guys at HMI Billett back in the day for doing me a one off tall bar mount to go with their triple clamps I could fit up a set of Faast Co. Flexx Bars. Amazing stuff.

Not your standard 74 CR air box. Custom built aluminum velocity stack style with a 75-76 intake boot. Uses 98 and up CR250 filter and frame.

A little updating is in order. Got the early billet crankshaft rebuilt at Millenium Tech with a long rod kit from Jeff at Badbrush Designs.

Crank is going in with a fresh set of high end full load bearings.

Custom made micro polished transmission assembly from fellow resident Brit Vitard Stevie Denton is in place.

Millenium also handled the cylinder, plating the cast iron bore. Kept it from going up a bore size and will increase the lifespan of the ported cylinder. Piston from Wossner, it is a damn nice looking piece of aluminum.

Race Tech porn overload just arrived for the rear. These things are works of art. Huge shafts, dual rate springs, threaded preload, external dampening, eyelet bearings, and all aluminum construction. Hard anodized sweetness.

Excellent scores and progress Joe. Congrats, sorry about the checking account though. Makes my shit look, well, old and used up. I do see some pieces in there that I recognize though.

You wouldn't have needed all that shit unbent if you hadn't kept jumping that table at Splendora.Blink

With all that moto goodness going on, you'll want a set of B'stone M23 front , M22 rear. If they can be found....

I think there was an unwritten rule that no one was supposed to beat him. I didn't get the memo.Laughing

Good times with 4 inches of suspension!

Got a deal on a pair of Bridgestones from Motosport along with new tubes, rim strips and Motion Pro lite locks. Fresh chain and sprockets.

New Motion Pro throttle and cables, Renthal dual compound grips, Moose levers, Decal Works graphics and new freshly painted plastics from VMX Racing

I like the refresh/build but I think it's funny how certain threads are allowed in here depending on who you are Whistling

WTF are you babbling about? Thread was started back in May, Gibby can delete or move it as he pleases. He deletes my stuff regularly...Shocked Laughing

In case you were slow to catch on, there were quite a few thousand dollars worth of parts and services mentioned in this thread purchased from people, companies and members who frequent and/or advertise right here on this site. Some of us get it, some of us...not so much. Carry on.

Damn it, newmann...why do you post this stuff? I had just settled it in my mind, after getting the itch again from a thread in the vintage forum, that I wasn't gonna actually build another vintage bike to go down to Texas next year, and now this stuff has me here with a woody. Blush

So, I guess it's either gonna be a '74 Elsinore or a '74 Mag 250 Husky (again).

I may have to contact you soon...

(Sweet bike, by the way!)
