Looking to upgrade the pegs on my YZ. I like the Fastway 3 pegs and the Turner Billet pegs, both have the replaceable cleats. Anyone have any experience with either of these or recommend other sets that aren't almost 200 bucks?

I'm looking for more grip on the pegs as I'm really trying to improve my technique with manipulating the bike with pegs.

I like the Fastways because they are wide as hell, I have some foot issues and I feel the wider ones may help with harsh impacts.

Thanks bros.

I always get the DRC pegs for my bikes, super cheap, good grip and they're steel so they will stay fit. I hate the pegs made out of lighter materials, when they start to wear they will vibrate and move around.

Can't go past the FastWay foot pegs IMO but for something less expensive you could try the RHK billet pegs. The fastway "cleats" will fit them.

I liked the Fastways on my 450, really seemed to spread the impact from jump landings.

I took a chance and bought FLO foot pegs because they are very reasonable in price, I have been riding with them and am very happy with the upgrade, they look great, are lighter than stock, have replaceable cleats and haven't shown any signs of wear yet after 5 rides.

Not sure if you can get them anymore, I have Sixety pegs with replacable cleats. Wider than stock, aluminum, very strong and after 4, almost 5 years, they havent budged or gotten sloppy in the mounts. Ive replaced the pins once with stainless pins and im still completely happy with them.

I have the Fastways on my YZ450F, and they are great and wide pegs, completely adjustable also. But after my current injury(ruptured Achilles), I wish I would have had the Anklesaver Fastway pegs!! If you have feet issues you may want to hold off and consider getting these instead.

Out for the year, no riding so my bike has become the garage monument, and you can bet your ass they will have the new pegs on it soon!

I've read the set screw type cleats don't chew up boots as bad at the razor sharp ones. Any truth to this?

Thanks for the replies bros, great info here.

ProTaper makes great footpegs. Ive been running them with no problems.

They offer replacement cleats and hardware and you know that ProTaper will be around in 3 years when you need to replace parts.

Most defiantly! My tech 10 soles are still in great shape! And I've had both the pegs and boots for over two years. And I race almost every weekend! Plus they don't go dull. And they don't collect mud nearly as bad. And they are massive! Very big platform and they help control so much. Pull the trigger on some fastways!

Guys with the Fastway pegs, do you use the camber adjustment? I thought this was a pretty great idea as I'm also trying to hug the bike with my legs as much as I can. Sounds like the camber would help in that dept.

I haven't tried every make out there but my experience says so. They wear out were the pin goes and starts to rattle. I like my bikes solid and tight.

^^^ This! I had them on my 2 stroke YZs. Bolt right up and when I got them they were around $40 each brand new.

I've got these on my bike and like them a lot. They are very wide, looks great, excellent grip, light weight and cheap. Or you can go baller status and get the Raptor titanium. They are a little too sharp for my taste. Don't want to mess up my boots that bad or my leg (Dean Wilson..).

Back in the late 90's early 2000's a pal had some pegs that rotated back and forth. You could hear them rattling around when we would stop and he out his feet on the ground. Seemed like a cool idea but no way I could handle the noise. I just sharpen the stock Honda pegs with my die grinder. The raptors look trick I must say.

I've seen aluminum pegs break, won't run 'em.

I can't tell any diffrence when I spend the extra money for Ti pegs and they wear down after about 2 years.

Last time I bought the inexpensive wide style IMS pegs for like $89 and I couldn't be happier.

Yep! IMS bigfoots for about $85. I've been running them for about 4 years now. Sharpen them up once in a while and you are good to go.

Yes I use the camber adjustment to do just what you are saying, but you may have to adjust them a couple of times before they fit your needs.
