But in the end Ryan Dungey will be the last true sx champion.

I don't know what it is, I don't know how it will work, and I don't like it. I would not, could not, in the rain. Not in the dark. Not on a train, Not in a car, Not in a tree. I do not like the chase format, VitalMX, you see.
I laughed at your Dr. Suess! We did a remodel on one of his first homes in La Jolla this past summer. Check out this tree he had growing through his office ceiling.

In regards to the OP's question there is no way to tell want would have happened until we get a detailed Chase format. It can and would be different than other series to make it adaptable to the SX season and points structure.

I wouldn't mind seeing Brayton win the championship. I'll freely admit I'll be watching no matter what the format. Wouldn't affect me one bit. I would be happy for him...but, yeah, like Markee said, nobody's going to beat Dungey right now, in any format. If he had to win any one race, he would find a way to win it. That's how good he is right now. I hope Tomac can take some of his shine away outdoors.
I like the guy, I do, but this is the highest level of the sport.

At no point should the champion have 0 race wins on the year.

There is a good wright up about FELD and SX in the new MXA. It's all about entertainment not racing.
the sad fact is that there is very little racing, and thus, not very entertaining.

the "chase" isn't going to fix that.

something needs to be done to get it back to where the riders pushed the limits of the machine.

putting 450s on a supercross track is like formula 1 cars on a go cart track.

resets and whatever bs feld and the ama come up with is a Band-Aid on a gaping wound

Is Hilary going to be the next president?

All things to look forward to in 2017.
