I rescued this 05 from a barn. Needed a lot of love and I went through it and got it running nicely.
I am looking for those little trick bits that make a nice bike great.
Factory parts that I used to find kind of easy seem to be unobtainum for the RMs.
I built a couple Pro Circuit replicas back in the day and finding parts for that was almost easy compared to this girl.
Stuff like carbon guards and skid plates, maybe a little polish here and there.

Man that this was so filthy when I started o thought I wasn’t gonna get it right.
I used a myriad of chemicals to break down the funk on it and a hot soak in a tub. Wife was less than excited when she came home to a bathtub filled with brown water and a seat floating.

I bet you can still find RM parts from Lightspeed Carbon. You can also probably find parts that cross over from the four strokes: clutch perches, levers, chain adjuster blocks, etc.
Look at Moto Stuff too.

Light speed has literally nothing for sure, I have been able to use some generic parts like levers and perches.

Legacy Carbon has some pretty unique and cool stuff. Not a huge selection for RM's but they're always adding new pieces for various bikes.

Legacy does have some cool stuff. Ordered a silencer cap the first week of March over 2 weeks before Canada shut down and never got a shipping email. Tried contacting them a week later and haven’t heard anything. I’m sure once this virus thing comes to an end it’ll be made right.

I'll just leave this here for everyone.

Yeah I’m not wasting any time on Them even if they had four pages of products.

He’s referring to legacy carbon in Canada. I’ve ordered from AS3 performance in the UK 2-3 times and had awesome luck every time.

If you want a well built head get ahold of Langston racing, I was able to get a VHM through them. Very helpful and will go out of their way. Faster USA has also been awesome to deal with. They have a lot more than their site says too.

I would avoid Legacy...

Most oem parts available. I think you can still buy frames which is surprising. I notice the parts are more expensive than oem Yamaha stuff. I needed a rm125 crank which was around $400
