Lol, don't cheap out, buy some new ones. By the looks of those boots, the whole thing is worn out. Worn out = lower protection factor.

I made a suggestion based on the safety factor. Keep riding with those and you'll likely end up with a foot to match the sole of the boots. If you are so broke you can't spend a couple hundred bucks on safety equipment, how the hell can you even pay for the upkeep and gas for a bike and a truck to haul the bike?

Spend the money before you regret it.

Get some A-Star Tech 6's.

I personally rock Garne SG12's but before I decided to be a rich snob I wore 6's and loved em!

Bull.

Depending on how you ride, soles can wear alot quicker than the rest of the book, boots like the tech 10's have terribly soft soles and can be replaced very cheaply. Just because the soles are warn doesn't mean the rest of the boot is. A couple of friends wore their tech 10's out in the first year, got a set of soles for 50/60 bucks AUD and had them replaced for 15, good as new!

yeah, I'd call fox (i think that is the logo?). You may even be able to send them back and have them put them on for you.

Yes you can. I have gone through a few on my Tech 8's. I love those boots to death, and they are broken in perfect. No need to get new boots just because the soles wore out. Now getting them to stay on can be a pain. I had them done professionally, and one of the soles came off on the very first ride. I put screws in and havent had a problem with them. Just make sure (if you go all cheapo like myself) that the screws are flush with the boot. That way they dont ever get hung up. Ive never had the problem.

Although I wouldn't waste the money on those old boots in the pic, Sole Performance
will put Sidi soles on any boot (even laminated soles, like Tech 10's) for about $120.

Go on Ebay and look for boots as well. I found my 661 Hurricanes brand new for half price a few years back after they were discontinued.

Ive got some tech 8's and I used to sharpen my pegs like the manual says to...(I think the manual was written by a boot company). Anyhow I wore through real fast...and my parts folks told me to buy Fly Soles for 16 bucks (extra thick and less $). I had a local shoes smith put em on for $30 more....worked out well- I am now ready for it again had the boots for 10 yrs- Thinking I may get a new set-

We import Vibram supermoto soles from Italy and they have asked us to import the complete line of motorcycle soles. This way you can purchase the soles $50 then have a local cobbler $50-$60 put them on for you.

So gaernre, sidi and alpinestars are the top choices?

Would anyone want to comment on the pros/cons?
