What chest protector is your favorite?

Looking to finally get one to help with roost and impacts (more so the back) that will be pretty durable and around $100.

Gotcha...you mentioned back protection and around $100...and that has the best back protection I've found...though it is $149.

And it is comfortable as well, I don't even notice it while riding...I love this thing and won't ride without it. I don't notice that its all the much hotter than the traditional protector I wore before it. I love the built in elbow protection.

If only I could be that badass.

I never have used one but I have a bum back and it's only getting worse and I'm getting pretty tired of roost equivalent to being shot by marbles.

Thanks for the help guys!

I know a big thing that has helped out some of the guys i know with back pain is a kidney belt. All depends on what type of back pain you have though. I started wearing a hard protector when they changed the class rules. I was sick of eating roost in 450A riding a 250F. I wear a Fox chest protector but I took the back off because it gets too hot... but I'd do that with any of them.

I use the same Fox Pro Frame as pictured above. I wear a Leatt with it and they both fit great together. It's a super lightweight chest protector and I found it breathes great, very comfy also. I've never had a problem with becoming too hot in it.

Anybody tried the fly pivotal? I guess it's too late to solicit opinions on it since I already ordered it. Just curious if anyone had any thoughts about it

IMO, the Fox and Leatt are two of the best. You can not go wrong with either!

For those that are willing to look past the logo:

The Leatt is HANDS DOWN the best standard chest protector available. Why? Because they actually conform to impact standards in Europe. There are no such standards in the US for protective apparel, 99% of consumers don't know the truth and companies like Fox would rather keep it that way.

I applaud Leatt for offering a true quality impact tested chest/back protector.

I check CycleGear often and recently looked at the Titan.. Maybe if I was falling out of a chair, the Titan would be of use but for anyone that is serious about impact protection, you would do well to research the subject...

Check out FLY's chest protector it seems to work for Trey
You would think Trey would be wearing the best of the best. Unfortunately, FLY does not conduct impact testing on their roost guards.

If money is "no object" T-Pro makes the best impact gear on the Planet. It's expensive but has passed the sub 4kn mark, capable of preventing broken bones for back protection. Their full suit is like $400.00 but again, right now it is the best if you look at scientific data..

Like helmets, you can buy a "logo" but most informed riders look for the certifications..

I stand corrected- thanks for pointing that out...

Good on FLY for understanding the importance...

Get a Leatt Pro Lite if you want a comfortable chest protector that can handle real impacts, front or back.

Fox Race Frame. Protection from roost and impact. Comfortable, and good ventilation. I have crashed and the added shoulder protection is valuable. Protection keeps you Racing. Bruises from roost or crashes aren't cool, they are injuries.
