Lots of discussion about track prep at the AMA Nationals....
I'm flagging today at Albury NSW for the final round of the vic titles..I raced yesterday.
Overnight they fixed a few jumps and hit the rest of it with something....dunno what but it sure is chunky!
Glad I'm not first practice today!

It's packing down ok, a few deep ruts, but I've been busy waving that flag in my section already
The Shop
Half way through the day and it's all sorting itself out.
Right on the race lines, its packed down very hard.
I was running Dunlop Mx3 s soft terrains yesterday, but by half through the day , I was wishing I had intermediate tyres on.
I hate those soft terrain tyres when it starts to pack down, especially the front one
I'm quite enjoying my day flagging, they brought me out a really tasty hamburger for lunch too.
Kirk Gibbs is racing today, he's no2 in the Nationals behind Ferriss atm. Will try and grab a quick video when he comes past me
I stood out there flagging for seven and a half hours straight without a break, as did all the other flaggies.
Just helping out my club since I decided not to race my 450 today.
A quick video of Kirk Gibbs today, he won every race easy.
It's weird, half the field looked faster than he did. He is so smooth, controlled and flowing that he deceives you into thinking he's going slow.....he ain't going slow though!
He's Dean Ferris' main competition.
If Gibbs were at highpoint last weekend, there's no reason to believe he wouldn't have been top ten like Ferris
