Went to Doug's house for a day on Thursday and did a long interview with him. It got very emotional and we were all choked up when he was talking about his injury. I asked him questions that I've never heard asked before. I was very surprised by a lot of his answers.
I also got footage of him riding and a helmet cam following him for a while on his track. It will be up later today as I'm still editing it.

His attitude is amazing... seems like the more life beats you down, the more you can appreciate what you have.
Watching it over again I said Uhh like 50 times!! But O well, Doug has been my hero since I was 12. Anyone other rider I don't get nervous interviewing but with him it was different!
Too bad he doesn't keep up with moto... would've been interesting to hear his answers to the other questions.
It's also interesting that he, being through those injuries, still favors incentive based contracts... hmm.
The Shop
Good to see he still has support and that he's gonna be racing again

Great job man!
Tonight I'm going to pick up about 20 races from the 70's - 80's in New England. Jojo Keller, Bob Hannah at Southwick, Dowd, Henry, Finkleyday, and also a race in Europe with John Finkleyday killing it.
Just have to edit them and they will be up on the site this week, so bookmark the site cause that stuff is going to be awesome!
Henry riding video is almost done. Should be up in the next hour or 2.
Doug was an even greater hero than I knew.
Thanks, Bill
How's his Wife doing?!?! Can't believe the Henry's luck, almost as unbelievable as their attitude...
The video of him riding is up.

I was trying to see where I could have passed him and I don't think I could have. That video made my morning thanks!
I helped get the bike on the stand and it's really heavy! It took 2 of us to pick it up!
