A thank you letter from the FIM. The AMA will probably send him an invoice.

Did the FIM forget about Lackey, Laporte, Schmidt, Moore, and Parker? Huh

I assume they are referring to first American after renaming the class "MXGP"

I like how they mention the AMA FIM World SX Championships, as if they actually have a single thing to do with that series except for raping it.

There isn't "the AMA" any longer. There are two AMAs. One AMA sanctions SX and the other AMA sanctions MX. This other AMA has a separate rule book that is slightly different from the AMA SX rulebook.

Ill bet the day after RV retired, he woke up, stretched, and said "Now I can relax!" . What a great, great, fucking rider. Just pure awesome when he was on it.

A bad man for sure. Those battles with Townley were awesome and i just knew when he learned the 450s he would win championships. Going to miss him.

I suppose the FIM would rather not honor their own history? What, like 100 years of world champions. Anyway, hats off RV. Loved watching that guy ride

They were quick to mention the FIM championships he won (and the supercross championships Tongue ) but left out the Motocross titles. Are they congratulating Ryan or trying to make a statement?

Maybe I'm looking at this all wrong. I'm just chapped about the FIM getting their grubby mitts on our sport over here.

the motocross titles (except for the world junior one) are not FIM world titles,

its a nice letter, take it for what it is, the AMA, AMA pro racing, DMG, MXsports or whoever the sanctioning body is for the nationals could send him one as well
