Factory Honda Color

Is the red on the factory Honda brighter this year? It reminds me of the JMB 1992 bikes. Would look good with blue plates and yellow numbers IMO.

I wish they would come back with the 1992 glow red color it was super rad, it literally looked like it was Glowing in the Sun

Yeah I loved it too until it turned hot pink in about three months.

I guess I didn't really answer the question, but it doesn't look the same to me. It does look good currently also though imo.

Did anybody see the Weege show in the pits after the race at StL? Trey Canard was wearing an orange shirt, orange Team Honda jacket and cap. Brayton was wearing an orange Honda cap too. There were some un-named Honda crew members wearing orange caps and jackets instead of the normal Honda red color. Could it be that Honda might be going to a drastic Mandarin Orange change?

I agree the color looks different but I rewatched the Weege show and they all look like they are wearing “Honda Orange Mist” color from 1987? Could the parking garage pit lighting have made it appear different?

Personally, I like the red/pinkish color they had in the early 90's. I think it's '93.

You’re saying St. Louis Honda’s were the same color as Anaheim? To me it looked blatantly different last weekend, I assumed it was for Susan Komen. Now I’m confused, will go back and compare to A1 but pretty sure last weekend was different level pink.

I was wondering if it was the lighting? St Louis may have brighter LEDs? I just didn't notice a difference with the other brands.

Lighting and also TV. Back in the 80’s when Marlboro sponsored McLaren and also with Penske the “Marlboro red” was actually a shade of orange because it would appear to be the correct color of red on TV. If the cars were red it looked burgundy on TV. Could be the same issue here

Factory Hondas are using lighter plastics (more air/different materials). Some angles those are see through and flappin around more than normal plastics. Brand new and stadium lights they could also look different colors.

I believe it's the color that was in the very first "works Honda" back in '72..
Then, it showed up on the '75 production bikes...and...then...it went Full Factory...the all red bike is Smith's '75 RC...I think...
