Has anyone tried them yet? At about $570 cheaper than a Honda I'm thinking about getting one.

Never used one but having been around them, they're loud. Don't figure you plan on using it at night though.

I have about 10 of them work great, they are loud, purchase the 2 year warranty. They will give you one to replace it with no questions asked. They have the best warrantys in retail.

So they are not quiet like the Hondas? Should I just get a regular generator then?

Are you talking about the one that looks like the Honda EU2000 ?

I found someone online that tested the sound decibel and the HB was only a 1 or 2 higher.

Honda's big selling point is they are quite. I still have a Honda EX1000 that works great and super quite. Most other generators get the job done but it seems the cheaper you go the louder they are.

Just in case you hadn't heard, they're loud. Like I want to tune the spark plug with a hammer loud.

I've got one (that mimics the Honda). Mine works perfectly and is not loud at all. Had it about 15 months and it's gotten plenty of use. I always run 93 octane and fuel atabilizer. Starts on first pull too.

Just to be clear, this is the one you are referring to right? From what I read they are pretty quiet, but not able to be linked together in pairs like the Honda's.

I have a Champion 3100 that I'm happy with. A little more money, but a lot more power to run something like a roof air conditioner. That may not matter to you.

Just buy the Honda and never have to worry about it. Mine is going on 10 years old without even a hiccup.

Got this Cyber Monday last year. 575 delivered. Tested quieter than the EU2000i . I can link too if I want. Cool thing it has a time left until empty readout.

Don't waste your time or money. Buy a Honda and be happy with it for the next 15+ years.

Yup. Can't stress this enough. Ive been running a power equipment shop for the last 5 years. I see a lot of generators. Honda is your best value for performance, reliability, parts availability, longevity, and resale.

I just got one of these at costco for 699. Has the 30amp rv plug and don't need to run 2 of them to power the a/c in my trailer.

The red one above clearly has parallel outlets on the face as does the Generac.

Yamahas are good also. The Generacs are top quality also. Most all can be linked.

Hondas are like Acura or Lexus. Costs more, does the same job, but the quality is 2nd to none.

For 3K and up, you can buy a few Champions or Predators for the cost of Honda though. I have a 4.5K Champion for the house in case the power goes out. I have a 2000 Honda for the sensitive electronics. (However I cant see how any of that matters with say a laptop cord. Its not a direct connect with the convertor dealio.

I got my Honda EX1000 back in 1986 or 87 and it is still quite and going strong. But then again my Honda HR21 lawn mower lasted 29 years before I replaced it with a new Honda mower and all those will go in my will when I die. Cool

Yeah, it's actually a really nice generator. Starts by barely moving your arm, nearly silent on econ mode and no louder than a Honda 3000I under a big load. Is very easy to move around because of the wheels and fold out arm.

I've run mine from sun up to sun down for three days at a time in 95 degree weather and it never misses a beat. Only shut it off at night. If you aren't running AC I would probably go with a smaller unit.

I find these on ebay for less with free shipping. The guy is retired from Champion and he gets them as returns from Costoco (colors are reversed Black/Yellow). Factory certified and work great. I have turned on 4 other guys that use them now. Quite, reliable, safe for electronics. I use it with my toy hauler camping at the races. Never any complains from others about the noise. I figure I can buy 3 of these for the cost of a Honda or Yamaha... I've had two of the Yamaha 2000's that were good too.

On ebay, look for seller supergen_products email him to see what he has in stock...
