Ahhhh, the trial and error days. Good stuff from the guys who always had the trickest stuff on the planet. Steve Wise from 1979. Would that be a young Mr. Magoo over by the Maico box van?

So, linkage has been on the Honda's since '79?

Huh.

Why did it take KTM soooo long?

I wonder if they bought that idea from Skunk Works or just stole it.

By 1980 the works bikes were sporting linkage and single shocks.

Sooooo long? My 1982 KTM had linkage, that wasn't too terribly late compared to the other brands.......

Well I never, never seen that ever, and I thought had seen it all from that period!

I think I would have tried to rig some up on my 78/79 cr250s when i was vintaging, just for fun and to annoy people.

Shocks look like kayabas similar to what was on the suzukis at the time, wonder if it worked well?

Where are those pics from newman?

So did my '91 KTM... Had the Factory Super-Binding-Link and the disappearing water-pump cover, too.

Fast as hell until you need it to shift.

Gave it back 4 weeks after I got it.

That is the first time I've seen those pics! Really cool. I thought Honda went straight to the Pro Link system from the standard dual shock setup.
