Jeremy McGrath Named Lucas Oil JuniorMotoX Ambassador
King of Supercross confirms involvement with JuniorMotoX
New Smyrna Beach, Florida. April 26, 2016 – Monster Energy® Kawasaki Team Green’s Jeremy McGrath, the seven time AMA Supercross Champion and AMA Motocross Champion, will serve as the inaugural Lucas Oil JuniorMotoX ambassador. The Kawasaki brand ambassador will be on hand at the event to host a Q&A session open to all JuniorMotoX participants at the track Thursday after practice. McGrath will also provide commentary to the Lucas Oil broadcast team throughout the event. More details will be provided as the May 12-14 event approaches.
“Jeremy is very involved with the Monster Energy Team Green program and we are very excited about the event,” said Ryan Holliday, Team Green supervisor. “So we asked the JuniorMotoX team how Jeremy could be integrated into the event to help provide valuable insight that can help all of the racers, regardless of what brand they ride. The Q&A session will be a really great opportunity for everybody.”
Kawasaki has so far confirmed that Team Green riders Jett Reynolds, Lance Kobusch, Joey Crown and Jordan Bailey are planning to attend and race for the first ever championships at the inaugural event.
“We could not be more grateful to Jeremy for committing his time to be at the JuniorMotoX event,” said Eric Peronnard, the co-creator of the JuniorMotoX. “He is the King of Supercross so his insight will really be valuable to the racers.”
The Lucas Oil JuniorMotoX, presented by Monster Energy will bring amateur racing indoors with an outdoor MX style course that includes some Supercross elements. The course will be nearly 2,000 feet long featuring some of the best dirt on earth. Jerry Masterpool will provide input on track design, which will include a separate lane featuring more challenging obstacles for the more experienced riders/classes.
The Lucas Oil JuniorMotoX, presented by Monster Energy will also feature a live webcast of the Friday qualifiers and Saturday night main events, plus a feature show on MAVTV.
If you are thinking about racing, you need to sign up ASAP as some classes are filling up.
