Here is what Cara put on facebook. It's all the info I have.....
Please keep Pro Champion Josh Demuth in your prayers. Josh was seriously hurt while practicing on Sunday and needs all of our prayers. He has both legs broke, arm broke, shoulder broke and is in very bad shape. We will be doing some fund raisers soon so please watch for info. If you would like to donate to help Josh, please contact me or you can give to him thru RiderDown at www.riderdown.org . He will be laid up for quite awhile and will need alot of help and support.

This is a forum for a local race series in Texas that Josh races with occasionally. It refers to Cara (guessing his wife?) posting it on his facebook. Anyone have any more information/confirmation? I don't have access to facebook at work.

Josh went down hard at a local track in practice, had to get air lifted out. He has already had one surgery and will need a 2nd, maybe even a 3rd to stabilize all the injuries.

This was from his sister:

"They had to give him blood. They are taking him to surgery now.
Broke both legs. Several bones in his foot, separated shoulder, broken arm
Not sure if he will have to have the halo around his leg or not of if just a rod will hold it in place.
Won't know until he's in surgery."

Hope he heals up. I saw his sister Randi posted last night on facebook that he got hurt again. He's had a rough couple of years lately.

As I understand it, Josh has held a job in the oil field for some time. I don't know what company but he is one of the most genuinely nice guys to ever meet. He's also tough as nails. I watch him hit a tree third gear pinned, break some ribs and continue to ride for another 15 minutes before he decided that it was too much to race without a front brake lever. It's the sport we live. Good luck JD.

Personal finances and riding gear are both similar in that you really need to be prepared for the crash and not just the ride. But I do hope he is doing better and I'm sure wherever he is, there is at least one smoking hot trophy girl taking good care of him. Cool

I've never heard anything but good things about the way Josh treats people and that is worth something to me.

As far as fundraisers go, if you don't want to donate, don't donate, but don't shit on it. Just STFU about it and save your insurance comments for another thread.

I made the same mistake back when Fonseca went down and my post was something along the lines of, "Uhhh, isn't he a millionaire?"

Regardless of his or Ernie's financial situation they are/were fellow riders in need. If you can help and want to help, then help. Otherwise save the bullshit for any of the other thousands of bullshit threads on this website and let's just wish Josh and his family the best and keep them in our thoughts, and help them if possible.

I did some cleanup in here. There were a lot of classless comments, and someone's sitting on the sidelines for the time being.

It's pretty simple. If you're in a position to help and want to, great. If not, STFU.

Josh is a good dude that gives back a lot to the motocross scene in North Texas. His injuries sound serious so I hope he can make a full recovery and get back to doing what he obviously loves to do.
