Looks like he not only has great attitude judging by the smile on his face but he also looks pretty fit.

Cool piece of engineering there too. Be curious to know what all that stuff does.

I believe he rode with Ridge in the Baja, on that all amputee team a couple years ago. He hauls ass. Truly inspirational to me, with me being only a year out from my below knee amputation.
Thanks for posting Rupert X

I'm staying at Jim's house right now! He's one of my best friends. We finished 6th in the pro class at the Baja 1000 on an all amputee team with our friend Super Mario (Red Bull guy).

Jim lost his leg when he landed in the bucket of a big piece of equipment that his buddy was operating. Neither knew the other one was on the track (blind downhill double).

He was laying next to his severed leg!!!! Almost lost his arm too.

Jim doesn't need to work out or frost his tips...God smiles on some of us.

Proud to call him a friend.

Most of us could only hope to be as core as he is......and as tough.

Great post Rup.

Great memories from Mustang Old- Man. Most of the youngsters don't even know about that.

Inspirational.

I met a guy here in California once who had the same amputation. His solution for shifting was a little different; he ran a shift shaft out the ride side case and shifted with his right foot. Ran an extra brake lever at the right hand for the rear brake. It was cool to ride with him.

Props to Jim!
