Well thats a interesting look lol. Mugen are pumping a lot of money into electric bike development on the road bike scene. Through racing at the TT. http://mugeneuro.com/uncategorized/new-monster-mugen/

Wonder what the radiators are used for? Does an electric motor need liquid cooling?

Although ugly, it's pretty cool that Mugen is into the E-bike scene for the dirt.

Shocked

Idk about the whole dino theme, maybe a little cheesy. Regardless of how it looks I bet that thing is such a blast to ride.

Am I right to be confused about no foot brake pedal?

I bet we see it in a Jurassic park movie. I want the forks.

Have to believe that the whole radical "T Rex" design theme is more for the wow factor of something different. What's important (to the MFG) is getting the chatter started about Honda/Mugen existing in the electric OHV market; which whether we like it or not, is going to keep progressing.

Some do. Some high end computer parts are liquid cooled.

Electric motors sometimes do use liquid cooling.

For example the axis and spindle motors on a CNC machine are typically liquid cooled.

More power more heat.

If there's no clutch you can just use a brake lever instead, like a bicycle.

Wow factor: yes

I'd like to see their actual one.... and a SM one that I can ride to work.
Then take off the street/SM as a second play-race bike

This is the ugliest thing I've ever seen with two wheels. This should be dropped into a vehicle crusher.

The photoshop level on this one is high, bros. Looks like a set of ribs wrapped around a huge piece of turd with Showa suspension. Part of me would love to see more of competitive e-bikes pop up, but I guess their time is still far ahead of us.

This is a photoshop rendering. This isn't a real motorcycle.
Did anyone read the article? They are debuting the prototype tomorrow (march 25) at the Tokyo motorcycle show.

Dont much care for the look but the bones under the skin look legit.

There is currently some conversations going on at the AMA Pro Racing Headquarters in the Honda cubicle (that's where the proMX/SX rules are written) on how to go about cutting the legs out from under the four strokes and switch everyone over to electrics so they don't have to try and get them to race side by side in competition. They are accepting comments regarding this. Here is an online form if you'd care to submit one:

True. Although I've never ridden an electric MX bike I think I'd still prefer a foot brake.

Would feel more natural at first but at some point it might be beneficial for right hand corners at least.
