Old Fox v3 vs V3 rs sizing

Edited Date/Time 9/23/2022 12:22am
Hello,
Anyone has tried both could give me advice on their sizing?

I have always used a Medium size (for my 57cm head) but the v3 around 2018- 2019 was a little uncomfortable and had to go to the L.

I read some reviews about the "new" ones with the MIPS technology and they say that the sizing has been improved, but wanted to hear some real world opinions about it.

Thanks to all!

The V3 has had mips since 2017 in both generations except the year it used the Fluid Inside tech.

Ah thanks for the clarification, I thought that all those years had the Fluid inside thing.
Anyways, do you know if the sizing its good now or people should still upsize.?

I've had all generations of the V3, and the RS does seem to run a bit small for me. Not enough to go up a size, but enough it takes a few rides for the pads to break in to feel totally comfortable.

You are correct, the guy above is not. They just went to mips on the V3 last year unfortunately.

Now how would you like to retract the cockiness when you’re trying to correct someone who sold fox for 5 years and has owned 6 V3’s

I mean why let facts get in the way of being correct, right? 2017 LE V3...

Also one of my RS's, just so the OP doesn't think I'm just making up facts like the other guy 😂

You mean this helmet with fluid in it? There were a few years they only used mips in the lower level ones I believe.

Listen man, yes there was a year or two (not totally sure, which is why I won't state it as a fact 😉) they went to Fluid Inside, but they didn't "just go to MIPS last year."
That's what you said, which is incorrect.
I'm not here for personal attacks or calling out cockiness, just want the correct info to be posted.

I'd say find a way to try the medium on if you can. If not, I'd get your usual size and just be ready for a couple break-in rides to get the pads conformed.

I’ve had basically every generation V3, and I’ve worn a medium in all of them. The V3 with the FI was definitely tighter, but it softened up over time. The newer model V3 RS has MIPS, and feels more like the older gen.
