Paddle tires are banned in AMA Pro, but they are legal for amateur racing, right?

minus sand dunes, I have never seen anyone run a paddle tire.

I am turning my RM250 into a mud bike for muddy races this Spring. If it's a foot of mud, I'll break out the two stroke with the paddle tire.

Looks like that would work for deep mud too.
Have you ever tried them in mud?

I've got an RMZ450, but for crazy mud I'd rather have the two stroke. Mostly because of weight.

ive used pirelli ones like that, cant remember the name off hand but they do work damn good in the sand. but for some reason knobs were tearing off at other tracks....

That's what I have- the Pirelli mud tires. Haven't tried them yet.
But my chances of having a mud race this year are probably 99.9%.

id use them they work pretty good and more flexibility than a true paddle tire if its not straight mud. at least thats what i would think.

Yes, we run them in sand or mud. It's almost like cheating......ALMOST!! Evil

Thanks for the feedback, guys.

They really work.
In the race pic's above, the 2 riders behind my son(in the lead) usually beats him, but my son was the only guy with this tire on, and you can see from the start he had WAY more traction.
In the second pic, my son is leading and is in a different lane of the race track. 2nd, 3rd etc can be seen in the background maybe 6-7 seconds back after just 1 lap.
I also added 1 tooth to the rear sprocket for this race/tire combo

When you say "we" are you talking about you and James Stewart?
