It's only Plasti-dip so I can revert back to stock in about 30 minutes with no damage.

I like it. Did you do the tailgate handle as well? (I don't know if those are painted or chrome, or...?)

I think you should consider doing your bumpers, grille and headlight surrounds also.

Plasti dip looks terrible on wheels. I have sprayed a couple vehicle wheels and it just looks like crap. Nice truck though, been thinking about trading in the vette for a new diesel.

Thanks! It's been an ongoing issue, but yeah, it was tweaked during the shoutout. At least I stayed off the ground enough to give them the shot!! Lol.

I'm not 100% sold on the black yet either.... But worse case scenario I don't like it 6 months down the road and I peel it off after the salt is all off the roads.

Thanks guys! This is kind of a test run for the 275/20/55's I wanna upgrade to when I'm ready for tires. If I still like the black in a few months I'll know what color to get my rims when the time comes

Chrome won't get you home.

I had a 2003 duramax, painted all the chrome black. Wheels, bumpers, grille, blk 6in exhaust tip. My friends named her Murdermax.

Looks good king, but get rid of the white letters.

It's a rubberized coating that just peels off after it's hardened. It's difficult to work a corner up, but once you do it flies right off

I love the black wheels on your truck. It looks way cooler that way. I plasti dipped the stock wheels on my Ford Raptor because I hated the look of the stock wheels and I personally think they look way better all black. Shitty cell phone pic but you get the idea though.

Plastidip is cool stuff to work with, more forgiving than paint.

Wow! So that shit holds up and doesn't come off?

I've got a white Toyota Tundra with bigger tires but stock rims, black would look good too.

The guys Raptor looks great that way.

Yeah ramrod.... It should hold up for a few months of regular driving or more. If you go mudding it will probably work an edge up though. I tried this yesterday and didn't like it, so I peeled it right off after an hour or so....

definitely needs ALOT more tire filling those wheel wells, or ALOT more wheel if its a 2wd. black rims look great on red trucks, id go with a gunmetal, dark grey or black chrome color if it were mine though. and IMO get rid of that big ol emblem under the tailgate handle, get rid of all emblems and trim and anything that isnt paint. shaved and clean is the only way.

Thanks man! What i really like about yours also is the white letter tires. Call me old school but i think it looks real sporty! Too bad i can't get 35's for a 18in wheel that has white letters. Thinking about making my own with a tire paint pen. It might work.

I also plastidipped the rear bumper and the chrome trim around the bowtie on the tailgate.
