The longest, hardest job in the world is raising children. Tony did a good job.

Nice job! Tony (or was it you) that called us a linch mob on here hit the nail on the head...lol! But the other side of the coin is that nobody should take this forum or any of the others too seriously. Most of us are a bunch of hacks that actually have to work for a living and like to do some over the top bench racing. The thing we do share and have in common is our passion for the sport. Maybe we need a lot more interviews like this one to start having a little more insight about these folks?

Good Job Dan. That was a lot better interview than we get from some of the media that's been around a while and think their shit doesn't stink. Certainly put Tony in a different/better light.

i like tony too, reminds me of my dad...said that before but he fucked up mikes opportunities from team honda and chuck miller saying no fucking way to basically getting mike kicked out of and off of the most powerful team in mx. oh well shit happens...i really thought mike was going to be national champion and go huge in the sport. shows you what the fuck i know.

Nice interview. Interesting to learn that Tony never once thought Mike would make a living racing motorcycles until he was 13 and faster than EVERONE at an amateur national. Fascinating!

Sarcasm.....lol. But thanks for your insider info that Mike was good on a bike when he was young. I never knew that....LMAO! The point was that Tony is full of revisionist history in that interview. Get someone to look that term up for you and explain it....wow....jeez.

i agree. i think hes just buisness. i met him in a sand pit by house , hes friends with my friend joe, n i'll tell yea we've had alotta fast pros come threw here but nobody had the determination, n work ethic of mike n tony.. the worst part of the world today is the internet, cause it brings all the panzys out who cant man up n say it to yer face, they just type n want u miserable like them....
I ran this through Google Translator and here's what came back (gibberish --> Spanish --> English):

I agree. I think he's just business. I met him in a sand pit house, hes a friend of my friend Joe, No I will say yes we had a lot of competition quick pros come here, but no one had pulled the determination, work ethic of n mic tony .. the worst part of today's Internet world, have brought all panzys a man I can not say that until n Yer Face, simply type n want u miserable like them ....

I still have no idea what it means.

Good interview Dan. I'm not a big Alessi fan, but I give credit to them for the effort they've put into MX/SX.

Wow, that was a good write up. It sounds like Tony went through some rather tough times. He couldn't have been making very much at all working at Waste Mgt. Good stuff.

great interview Dan,
He's a hard one to get to talk, interesting view from Tony that thinks only 2 riders have caused all this hate in the pits over the years and it's just a big plot against them and it had nothing to do with their actions.

Tony is a liar when he says he didn't know Mike was able to be professional until he is 13 is a lie! haha my mom and dad grew up around him and Tony knew he was something special from a young age.

Devin.. He answered the question in more a, when did he know they would be factory riders context. It's one thing to know they have skills, and another to know they will be factory riders. When he clocked RV2 and MA800 vs the pro's and Mikey and RV2 were faster is when he knew they would be something real special. What's funny is I misunderstood him at first and transcribed it as RV2 and Mikey were 2 sec slower than the pros. Which is still fast as heck on a 80cc. Tony called me and corrected me.
